he wants me? what happened to how he felt only a day before? i'm afraid to let this happen again. i mean yes, it's all i've wanted for a while now but- what if he's using me? what if patrick's right?

i gently pushed him off. he was practically stuck to my neck and i took a step back.

"josh i- i like you a lot," i mumbled. i could feel my cheeks heating up under his gaze.

"i love your body, tyler," he whispered hotly into my ear. it took all of my strength not to lean into his touch. i had to prove something to him.

"josh, if you only want to hookup with me, that's not gonna work. i don't want to be fuck-buddies, i want to be in a relationship." my voice was louder this time and i had no problem looking him in the eyes as i spoke.

he looked surprised. his eyes tore away from mine and he sighed.

"fine. you up for a date?"

i studied his face and swallowed, replying with, "yeah. where are we going?" he simply smirked and took my hand in his, leading me to his car.

we pulled up to the diner that we had met at and i squealed with joy.

"josh! this is where we met!"

he nodded his head and exited the car. i reached to open my door but he was ahead of me. he opened the door for me and shut it behind me after i exited.

he was actually being a gentlemen. when the waitress took our orders, josh ordered for me. josh hummed lightly to the music and examined the somewhat empty diner.

"so, tyler, i want you to know that i like you a lot," josh mumbled, not looking at me. my cheeks heated up and my heart leapt with joy.

"really?" i questioned.

"yes." his eyes finally met mine but then i remembered something.

"josh what about tim? and the girl at the skating rink? how do i know how you really feel?"

he was shocked. did he think i was going to let this pass by me? let him play me?

"i-i. tyler, i'm sorry." that's all he said. i looked into his eyes and they were begging forgiveness but i wanted to make him earn it.

"i like you a lot, josh." he instantly perked up at that

"but i need to be able to trust you. you need to earn my trust," i said as he opened his mouth to talk. he just nodded his head slowly and smiled softly.

"you can trust me, ty."

i smiled back at him widely. i really hope i can.
