June's p.o. v
So here's what I heard out of bone crusher's and Jake's conversation. But first, no I didn't mean to listen on purpose I walked pass them and I over heard them. I heard enough even after one sentence that Jake said. Here's what he said "..it meant nothing. No spark's no nothing." After that I went to the bathroom and cried in a stall. I thought that it meant something to him and it sure meant something to me. And not only was there spark's, but firework's. At least.. I thought."W-why would h-he s-say that." I stammered. Every time I stammered I sniffed the snot into my nose. My eye's became red, my mascara was coming off and worst of all, I was soaked in my own tears. I never came out of the bathroom until third period. I fixed my make up and I just stopped crying. I didn't pay much attention in class.
"Hey are you okay?" My best friend Lily asked me. She always helped me when I needed it. I've known her most of my life. Ever since third grade. I'll never forget how we met. If you must know, we were in the same class together. The desk's were in rows and she sat directly behind me. I wasn't the popular kid in the school because I came in the middle of the second grade. I had limited friends. We had to partner up with someone and everybody was taken so I looked around and I saw that Lily wasn't partners with someone else and we ended up partner's. We talked to each other a lot and we found out we ride the same bus so we sat together and found out we live in the same neighborhood then next year we choose to sit next to each other and we talked and to this day, we still babble on and on about what happens in our lives and share secrets with each other. And when that happens, you can't help but be best friends forever. We tell each other everything and what we share, we keep between me and her only. No matter what.
"No. Jake was just being shallow like every other guy in this school. Everyone but your boyfriend." I tell her. If someone else asked me the same question I would of said I was fine but were best friends and even if I didn't tell her, I would have told her sooner or lathim
"Oh. Well, what did he say?" She asked. She sounded concerned about me. I can't blame her. My clothes were still wet from crying, my eyes were still slightly red and I had dry snot in my nose.
"Remember what I told you what me and Jake did during second period?" I said. She nodded yes. "Well, it turns out he has a girlfriend-" Lily gasped and cut me off. "And he said that there was no sparks and that it meant nothing to him."
"What a jerk! You deserve better then him!" Lily said. "After all I didn't get my boyfriend with out making a major mistake. Btw I love the Bebe Rexha look."
"Thanks. I feel a bit better actually." I say. I did feel better and that's what best friends do. They help you when you need it.
"What did you expect? Me to make you feel even worse?" She asked. That made me giggle a bit. The bell rang and when I saw Jake in the hall, I ignored his smile meant for me.
