June's p.o.v
After my huge blowout, the next day was the fourth of July. I was suppose to go with Jake and it would have been so romantic. But, Jake is going with bone crusher so I made a call. I was going to be festive so I dyed my hair red. The color was intense and bright. To look more stylish I put on a leather jacket and a black top. I wore black leggings and ankle boots."Why hello black panther." My date said. His name was Jace white. He was my ex and we were on and off with our relationship. When we were little I would always wear black. He would call me black panther or blackberry. Through out elementary school he called me black panther. He moved away in sixth grade and he came back a few month's ago.
"Ugh. Don't call me that." I told him. It was a long time ago and I didn't want the past to come into the way of the future.
"How about blackberry?" He asked. It was better and I preferred blackberry anyway. I nodded. He drove me to a place with the best fireworks in town. We put down a picnic blanket and waited for the fireworks to start. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jake and bone crusher.
"Will you excuse me Jace." I asked. I had to go talk to him and yell at him and kick his ass. Jace wouldn't let me go. He grabbed my ankle.
"Why should I?" He asked. He have me a look. The kind you give someone when they want a good answer. I sighed.
"Girl stuff. For example: I need to use the lady's room." I said. He let go of my ankle and allowed me to go.
"Hey, be careful blackberry." He told me. I nodded. I walked up to Jake and straight up insulted him in front of bone crusher. Jake looked at me strangely.
"You're so hot." Bone crusher flirted with Jake. Jake took his eye's of of me and onto b.c (bone crusher).
"Stop calling him hot. The only thing he could turn on is a microwave." I said. Jake looked at me again not expecting what I just said to come out of my mouth. Before b.c yelled at me Jace came up to me.
"Hey, the show is about to start blackberry." Jace told me. Now wasn't the time.
"Blackberry?!?" Jake shrieked.
"Yeah. She my girl!"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah she is. Looked I'll prove it." Jace pulled me close to him and his lips met mine. His were warm and soft. His arm was around my waist and my hair was so long it touched him hand. I leaned back enjoying the kiss. I wrapped my arm around his neck. My eye's were closed and I was imagining we were at a beach and the sunset was behind us and the water slowly crashed onto the sand and ran into our toe's. A few seconds later my fantasy was over, and I was back in reality.
"That proves nothing!" Jake insisted. He was made and so was bone crusher. I stepped in the conversation.
"Actually it does." I said stepping forward. "Jace has treated me better then you ever did. I enjoyed the kiss and I am willing to do it again. In fact, I'll do it right now." I went to Jace and stood on my toe's and my lips, once again, met Jace's. Maybe it was perfect timing or the person launching the fireworks saw us, but right above our heads a fire work exploded. It was perfect.
