Alida's pov

Give me your eyes for just one second

I stared out the window of the truck with head phones on. The stormy skies made the day gloomy and made all depression seep deeper.

I looked out and saw a man standing on the side of the street, holding a sign that said, 'Please help. Need a place or job. Willing to learn how to work.'

It made me sad to see something like that. I hated seeing people in need and I hated feeling helpless about it. I always wished there was something I could do.

"Alida Rose!" Someone yelled. I teared my eyes away from the window and looked up at the front seat.

Two men sat in the front seat. Both obviously military. One wore all black and he had two 9mms on his thighs. He had black hair and electric blue eyes.

The other man had brown eyes and black hair. He had on a black t-shirt and camouflage cargo pants. They both had dog tags.

The brown-eyed man's said Lennox, while the other guy's said Hide.

"I know your paying attention now, you're looked straight at us!" Lennox said. I just stared at him and took my head phones off, laying them on my shoulders, letting him know I was listening.

"I need you to stay in the main hanger for us while we go work. Please don't go exploring or anything, okay?" Lennox said. I nodded as we pulled up to the base.

I haven't talked sense I moved in with them. They've become sort of like my dads. Ever sense they found me and took me in, I haven't spoken simply because, I just didn't want to.

I was a selective mute. I haven't talked sense...well...I'd rather not talk about it.

We pulled in and got out. I looked around and noted the fancy and expensive cars around.

I saw a lot of men walking around and a few sitting around and staring at me, trying to look intimidating. I just stared at them boredly.

"Is that who I think it is?" I heard a fimilar voice. I smiled and saw Epps walking towards us. He smiled back and gave me a big bare hug.

"Hey, you think you can watch her for us? Make sure she doesn't leave the main hanger?" Lennox asked. Epps nodded.

"Sure, but this little soldier don't always listen." He joked. I rolled my eyes. Hide chuckled.

"Ain't that the truth." He said. I huffed and playfully crossed my arms. They all smiled and I rolled my eyes. Again.

"Will, we have to go." Hide said to Lennox. He nodded and they went off to do whatever.

"So what do ya wanna do?" Epps asked. I shrugged. He though for a minute.

"Wanna learn how to fly a drone?" He asked. I had a wide smile.

"Ya know, your doin' pretty good for your first time flyin'." Epps said. I smiled and continued to fly the drone. I used the camera to look around and I saw on the road, heading to the base, two Lamborghinis. A red one and a yellow one.

I pointed at the screen and gave a Epps a curious look. He rolled his eyes.

"That's just the Terror Twins. Ya don't wanna mess with them because has much as they love causing pranks, they have a short temper and are extremely easy to piss off. Well, mainly the yellow one. The red one is more chill but you can still piss him off." He said. I stared at them curiously.
