After a few drinks I was starting to get a little drunk, but I didn't really care. Not until I had knocked over my own drink, and then cried about it did I notice that I shouldn't be drinking anymore.
"You know when I was a little kid I used to be afraid of the stars in the sky." I say getting Neil to laugh.
"The stars?" He asked still laughing.
"Yes. They could fall down at any point and kill us. Don't you know that?"
"No. I guess not. I suppose I should watch my back."
"Boy..." I moved closer to him, and smiled. "You're a killer. You should've been watching your back years ago."
"At least my whole family doesn't know what I do for a living."
"Please, killing people doesn't get you any money. I'm a writer."
"That is not what I said. Although it gets me lots of money sometimes."
"You steal?"
"Only when the persons dead."
"Ooh. You really are bad." I say moving away from him. I looked at my empty glass, and sighed. "You want more?" I ask pointing at his empty bottle.
"No. I'm good."
"Well then I'll be back with more for me." I say getting up.
"I believe you've had enough." Neil said grabbed my hand, and pulling me toward him.
"Awe. Please. It's been awhile since I've had a nice drink."
"No. You're drunk."
"No I'm not." I say trying to get away from him, but just wasn't strong enough.
"Oh yeah? Is that why you cried when you spilled your drink?"
"Ugh. Please?"
"No. Sit down."
"Fine." I sit down beside him, and sigh as I do.
"You're such a child." He said putting his arm around me, and I moved closer to him resting my head on his chest.
"I know. It's better being drunk then dealing with the normal me though."
"I don't know. I think I like 'em both."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. Because I won't have to deal with a child all the time, but I also won't have to deal with a bratty bitch when you're sober."
"Oh. I guess I can live with that." I listened to his heartbeat as it began to quicken, and I almost thought he was gonna have a heart attack. I sat up and took my leather jacket off looking at the holes in the jacket. I sighed and set it down beside me. "That was my favorite jacket too." I say looking at Neil, and he laughs.
"You're so upset about it. It's cute." He said sitting up straight, and looking at me funny. I looked down at my hand, and remembered something.
"David." I got up, and ran to my bedroom seeing the door wide open. "Fuck." I looked to see Neil looking at me funny. I walked into my room, and saw that David wasn't where I left him last. "There was a body here. Did you take it?"
"I buried it in the huge ass backyard for you. It looked like there were other 'graves' back there so... I helped you out." Neil said leaning against the door frame.
"Thank you so much." I say giving him a hug. I quickly moved away, and apologized. He grabbed my hand, and pulled me toward him.
"Don't apologize." He said quietly to me, and I smiled.
