"Sierra!" I heard my dad called "Yes dad?" I say "We are leaving in 5mins, I hope you have everything packed for California." My dad says to me while putting stuff in boxes. "Yes I do, but can you please tell me why we are moving to California?" I ask. "Sierra, how many times do I have to tell you? I got a new job in California. And you know I can't pass that offer." "Oh, but do you ever think of the people we are leaving behind here in Canada?" He sighs

"Look, I know you'll miss your friends, but look at the bright side, You can make new friends!" "Yea but-." I get cut off by my dad yelling "Come on! Get in Sierra we have to go to the airport, our flight is in 30mins and it takes 20mins to drive there!"

-20 mins later-
We arrive at the airport quickly we run to catch our plane. When we finally get in the plane and find our seats I sit down and listen to 'The Weight' by Shawn Mendes. Before I know it my eyes get heavy and I fall asleep.

"Wake up Sierra, we just landed." I feel someone shaking me. I finally manage to open my eyes, I see my dad just standing there. "Alright, I'm awake let's go." I say standing up. The ride to our new house was about 15mins the whole time I couldn't stop thinking 'how would I make new friends?' 'What if no one likes me?' Whatever I thought to myself, there's only two weeks of school left, it won't be that painful.

We finally arrive to our house we get our boxes and start putting them inside the house. After my dad and I put away all the boxes I notice there's one left, it was labeled 'Ana's things'. I couldn't help but smile, my dad did bring my mom's things I'm glad he did.

I walk inside my room starting to unpack things. "Man this room is huge." I say to myself. "Yea it is, isn't?" I hear someone say, I turn around and see my dad standing next to my door. "Dad you scared me, next time knock." I say laughing. "Sorry sweetie I didn't mean to scare you like that." He says. "Hey after you're done packing most of your things why don't we go buy pizza?" "Sounds like a amazing idea dad!" "Okay now finish unpacking." He says as he is walking out of my room.

I finish packing and I check my phone 8:30p.m. Well, the day went by quickly I think to myself. I go tell my dad that I'm done packing but before I tell him I already see pizzas on the table, I began to eat and chat with my dad. After we are done we clean up and go to sleep. Well tomorrow would be interesting, it will be the first day of school for me, I go on Instagram for a little bit, after I do that I check the time 10:30p.m. "Well I should go to sleep I have school tomorrow. Good luck to me." I whisper to myself.
