My dad and I finally get home from school, I begin to get out of the car when my dad says "Who was that boy? Do you like him?" I start laughing "Dad, I barely know the kid and he doesn't seem my type. I'll tell you if I like someone don't worry about it." I say smiling "Okay just looking out for my little girl." He says while we begin going inside the house. I figured I'll do my homework right now so I don't have to worry about it later.

When I was finally done with my homework I check the time 5:30p.m. I suddenly get a text from my friend Celeste "Meet us at the ice cream shop called 'Afters' There's only one in the city, see you there! :)" "Dad?" I yell "Yea Sierra?" He yells back. "May I go to the ice cream shop with some of my friends? It's only a five minute walk, and I already finished my homework." I yell, he then comes down stairs. "Yea, go ahead here's $30 just in case." He says handing me the money. "Thanks dad you're the best!" I say taking my the money and my phone then walking outside.

I start walking to Afters, I then see Benny. He starts waving at me, this boy gives me a bad vibe... I just brush it off and continue walking to Afters, he then starts jogging towards me, "Hey where are you heading?" He says while walking to next to me. "To Afters, why?" I say. "Oh, why did you invite me?" He says "Because, we aren't friends yet." I say looking at him. "Whatever see you around Flores." He says winking at me then running back to a group of boys.

I then arrive at Afters I enter the shop and see Cameron, Jasmine, and Celeste sitting at a table near a window. They then see me and start waving and signing to come over there. I walk over there and sit next to Cameron, "What took you so long? It's only a 5 minute walk and you took 10 minutes." Cameron says laughing. "I was just walking really slow looking through Instagram." I say smiling. No I wasn't, I was talking to Benny... "We started thinking that you weren't going to come." Jasmine says. "Nah, you guys are cool and fun to hang out with." I say laughing. We all start talking about tv shows and what we'll do over the summer break.

Time passes by quickly and I check the time 8:30p.m. "Hey guys, I have to head home." I say "Oh okay. See you tomorrow!" They all say. "Okay bye." I saw back, I start walking home I then see Benny walking towards me, I smile to myself knowing I won't be walking home alone. "Hey, where are you heading now?" Benny says to me, "Home." I say. "Wait do you live on Green Tree St.?" He says looking at me. "Yea, why?" I say "Oh, because I live there too, and I saw someone across the street moving there so I figured it was you." He says, "That's cool, I guess we have to walk together now." I say laughing. "Yea, so tell me about yourself." He says smiling at me. The rest of way home I told him how I was into baseball, and why I ended up moving here. He also mention a sandlot where him and a group of boys play baseball together. He also invited me to the sandlot so we can all hang out, I told him thanks for the offer but I didn't want to go...

We finally arrived to my house he then says "Hey, just think about the sandlot tomorrow after school..." "I will Benny, I'll tell you tomorrow." I say walking towards my house. He starts walking to his house which is across the street, and then I see him jogging towards me again. "Hey, can I have your number now?" He says handing me his phone. "Sure." I say getting his phone and typing my phone number and putting my name as 'Sierra ⚾️😉' I finally give him his phone back "Alright, bye for now.." I say. "Bye Flores, goodnight." He says jogging home.

I enter my house and see a note on the counter 'Hey sweetie, I will be home by 5a.m. I'm sorry I'm not home right now, but there's some leftovers in the fridge. Love you! -dad' I look through the fridge and see chicken with some white rice and veggies. I heat it up and start eating, I see I get a text message from Benny 'Hey babygirl.' What the fuck I think to myself and then see another text message pop up from Benny 'Oh shit, sorry that wasn't for you..' I respond with 'It's okay accidents happen fuckboy. (;' It was only the first day of school and I was already friends with a fuckboy...

When I finish eating I wash the dishes and head up stairs to the bathroom brushing my teeth, when I'm done brushing my teeth I change into some pj shorts, and a over sized Marilyn Monroe shirt. My room was so plain, just a bed some boxes and white walls. I knew over the weekend I had to style everything to my taste. I start watching Clueless on my phone after watching Clueless I try to go to sleep, but all I could think of was who was Benny texting? I then fall asleep, today was a long day...
