My alarm went off very early today. I groaned as it kept going off, I didn't feel like going to school today but I had to.

I head to the bathroom and do what I need to do. After that I walked over to my closet and picked out a simple outfit, I wanted to be comfortable today. It was black leggings with an oversize t-shirt that had 'Kanye West' imprinted in tiny letters. I finished my outfit with some simply white vans, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. As I was walking to school a car pulled up beside me.
"Need a ride?" Jack called out. I nodded my head and got in the car with him. We didn't really talk the whole ride there so it made it awkward.

After a while of driving we arrived to the school and met up with everyone else at our usual spot. Benny stared at me as me and jack approached them. "Can I help you?" I asked Benny as I raised my eyebrow. He nodded his head, "yes you can, you can go to the sandlot for once and help me make the guys happy." He sarcastically said. I laughed and shook my head. We all talked for a while until the bell rung. We all headed to our 1st period. Benny, Jack and I had the same period so we walked the same way while Celeste walked a different way.

Class was beginning, we took out our stuff and began to take notes. As we were a few minutes into the lesson, a girl walked in. She whispered something into the teacher and the teacher nodded his head. "Class, this is our new student, Steph, please welcome her." The teacher said out loud to the class. "Steph, you can sit next to Sierra or Jack." He then continued his lesson. Steph say next to me and I smiled at her. I looked over at Jack, he was just staring at her with heart eyes, I laughed to myself, hopping Steph would notice was Jack was doing.
Steph turned to me and smiled, She introduced herself to me and I helped her all class long.

I began to walk home while Jack interrupted me. "SIERRA." He yelled. I turned around to face Jack. "Yes?" I answered. "You have to introduce me to Steph. This is my opportunity to have someone." He told me. I nodded my head, slightly laughing. "Here, she gave me her number if you want it." I said as I started to pull out my phone. Jack's face lit up, he took her number and walked away, "thank you!" He shouted as he walked away. I shook my head, laughing and walked home.

When I arrived home I sat my things down and threw up my hair in a ponytail. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and made my way to the sandlot.
When I arrived everyone was there, sitting down, as Benny talked. When I got closer everyone sat there in silence. "Hello." I said, breaking the silence. No one said anything, they all stared at me. "What?" I asked. Benny then grabbed my hand and pulled me aside. "I'm sorry about them. They're a little off right now. I have no idea why, but they are!" He said awkwardly. "Okayyy...." I said as I started to walk back to them. I was pulled back by Benny, "hey, do you have a date to prom?" He asked me. I shook my head as in no. "Maybe we can go together? So we won't be going alone." He suggested. I nodded my head, "that sounds like fun, by the way, the color is red." I winked as I jogged towards the boys. The boys finally started talking to me and kept telling me how much they missed me on the field. After catching up with everyone we started a game of baseball.

After hours of playing, we were all drained out. We chilled for a minutes then started to say our goodbyes. Benny walked home with me, to make sure I got home safely. "Sooo... prom." He says. "What about it?" I asked. "Is it a date?" He awkwardly asked me. "I mean, if you want it to be a date, then sure. I'm down for prom to be a date." I smiled. He smiled, "perfect. It's a date and I'll pick you up at 7." He kissed my cheek and ran off to his house. I smiled as I saw him run to his house as I walked up to mine. I entered my house and immediately sat down on the couch. As I sat down I got a bunch of texts from Jack.
Jack: Guess who has a date to prom?
Sierra: you and me both!
Jack: let me guess, Benny?
Sierra: yup. Let me guess, Steph?
Jack: yup. I took her on a date today, she was chill as fuck, and funny. I know we met today, but damn. I had to ask her out to prom.
Sierra: I'm so glad we're not going alone, but im also glad you got your girl.
Jack: and I'm glad you finally ended up with Benny.
I ignored his text as I started to smile like an idiot. I walked to my bathroom and got in. I took a long shower, filled with thoughts. I was so nervous about prom, but yet so calm. It's crazy and weird. I changed into some pjs and headed to bed. I smiled at the thought of today and drifted off to sleep.
