I hear my alarm go off, I wake up quickly and check the time 6:30a.m. Slowly I get up rubbing my eyes, I knew today was going to be a important day. Today is my first day of school, I knew I had to make new friends or I'll be lonely these two whole weeks.

I rush to the shower turning on the cold water on so it'll wake me up, after I take my long shower I look through boxes that label 'Sierra's clothes' I dig through the box for about five mins, after that I finally find the perfect outfit to wear to school, a dark blue bomber jacket with a black crop top and some high waisted shorts and for shoes I picked some low cut black converse, it's simple but perfect for the first day of school.

I then run to the bathroom to do my hair, I brush my hair and decide to put my hair in a high ponytail. I check the time 7:30a.m. Damn time goes by quick.

"SIERRA! Hurry I'm driving you to school!" I hear my dad yell, "Coming dad!" I yell back running down stairs to the kitchen, I figured I'll grab a little snack for breakfast since I didn't have time to cook, I grab a granola bar and decided to eat it on the way to school.

I run outside and get in the car with my dad, "Now Sierra, I want you to make friends and be good in school." My dad says to me, "I will dad I promise, now can we get to school? I don't want to be late to school on my first day." I say smiling.

After about 10mins we arrive to school I read the name 'Westside Highschool' I get out of the car, scanning the school slowly. "Bye sweetie have a nice day at school." My dad says to me. "Oh, bye dad see you after school!" I say closing the car door. When he drives off I go straight to the office.

As I enter the office I see a lady in her mid 30s typing stuff in a computer, she finally looks up from her computer screen looking at me, "What can I help you with dear?" She says to me. "Oh uh, I'm a new student and I just wanted to see what my classes are.." I manage to say. "Okay last name, and first name?" "Flores, Sierra." She then starts to type stuff in the computer then writing stuff down on a piece of paper. She took the piece of paper that she was writing on and a blue paper and handed it to me, "The blue paper is a map of the school, and the white paper are your classes.

Have a great day!" She says to me. "Oh okay thanks, have a good one too!" I say back while walking out of the office. I check my classes

Period 1: Algebra room: 304
Period 2: Biology room: 500
Period 3: History room: 504
Period 4: Theater 1 room: 601
LUNCH
Period 5: Physical Education room: GYM
Period 6: English room: 101

The bell then rings, I look at the map and look for room 304, I wander around for a while then finally find my 1st period. I go up to the teacher which was in his 20s, "Hello, I'm new here." I say to him "Oh! You must be Sierra Flores! Hello welcome I'm Mr.Dallas, you can sit next to Benjamin, Benjamin please raise your hand so she knows where she is sitting." He says while stacking some papers. "Uh thanks." I awkwardly say to Mr.Dallas while walking to the boy who had his hand raised, he was tall, tan skinned, with black hair and hazel eyes.

I sit next to him he then turns over to my side and says "So, you're new here?" "Yup." I says
"Well welcome to California." He says winking at me "Thanks, I guess." I shyly say. "Oh sorry I'm being very rude, I haven't introduced myself, I'm Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez but you can call me Benny." He saying while smiling showing his teeth. "Nice to meet you Benny, I'm Sierra Flores." I say returning the smile.

The day goes by quickly, I went to all my classes and met three nice girls named Celeste, Cameron, and Jasmine. I sat with them at lunch, which was very fun full with smiles and laughs. It was last period and I just wanted to go home, but we had 5 mins left... When the bell finally rang all of us walked outside I waited for my dad to pick me up under a tree so I have shade.

I decided to go on Instagram while I wait, while scrolling through Instagram I feel someone tap my shoulder I look up and it's Benny "Oh, hey." I say "Hey, I was wondering if I can have your number... You know so I can show you around haha." He awkwardly says while scratching the back of his neck.

"Yea no..." I say laughing. "Did I do something wrong? Sorry if I came out as cocky I swear I'm not like that." He quickly says. "No it's just I have to gain your trust, and I hardly know you. I have to get to know you before I give you my number." I say "Oh okay, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school?" He says relaxing. "I guess so... Hey my ride is here so I gotta go, bye Benny!" I say walking to my dad's car. "Bye Sierra!" He says waving at me. On the way home I couldn't stop thinking about Benny he's so nice, he could be my bestfriend.
