Chapter 5

Gaara's former student, Matsuri was feeding Gaara his lunch on his bed. They looked so happy I didn't wanna interrupt their happy moment and decided to retreat when Gaara's voice stopped me in my track.

" Kirino... " he said.

" O-oh...h-hi! I just came to see if you're ok " I glanced at Matsuri and faked an innocent smile. " I'm in a hurry, s-so ill be get going..." I quickly waved and started to walk away.

" Wait... So whose lunch is that? "

" O-oh...u-umm...u-uh... That's Shikamaru's ". I waved and walked away.

Then someone grabbed my arm and turned me around. Matsuri.

" I know that lunch is not for Shikamaru... " she glared at me.

" Do you like Gaara-sama? " she asked between gritted teeth.

" N-no...w-well...y-yes...maybe a little but since he likes you more, I'll stop here "

" GOOD! " she explained. " Cause I know he likes me more! "

" O-ok... " I turned away trying to hide the tears flowing down my cheeks.

" Wait! " came Gaara's voice.

" H-huh?! " I turned around smiling while tears flowing down my cheeks.

" Why are you crying? " he asked, raising an imaginary eyebrow.

" N-no...! Something went into my eyes " I said. " Later... "

Gaara P.O.V:

I walked out of the room and saw Matsuri talking to a crying Kirino. I asked why but she,said something went into her eyes and turn to leave. My heart broke.

" Come Gaara! " said Matsuri sweet voice tugging at my arm " Let's finish your lunch " I let her dragged me but I turned around one last time but saw no one except a few sparkling crystals lying on the floor.

Kirino P.O.V:

I threw myself on the bed crying. ' Hah! I know you love him ' said the inner me ' ALRIGHT! I love him ok?! " I yelled " There, satisfied? "

Just then Hinata came in.

" O-oh...h-hi Kiri-chan! " she started but then she saw me crying and gasp. "Oh gosh what happened? Are you alright?" She asked with anxiety.

" I-I'm ok... " I said.

"Oh ok....anyway Kiri-chan! Shikimaru, me and the sand siblings are going out to eat to celebrate Gaara. Do you wanna come?" She asked.

"Yes" I replied. I wasn't hungry but just for the sake of Hinata.

*30 minutes passed*

I walked into the restaurant and saw Kankuro sitting with a blushing Hinata. Shikamaru was sitting with Temari with his hands behind his head as usual but he looked like he's enjoying his company. Gaara was nowhere to be seen. I sighed and sat down in an empty seat feeling a bit apprehensive cuz of the crowd. Minutes passed by when Gaara and Matsuri walked in. It's a pain to see them together.

" Hinata...my head hurts i think i'll have to leave first...Enjoy your time^^! " I lied to her.

"Are you sure? Do you need medicines? Do I have to walk you home?" Hinata asked me worriedly.

"No..it's ok.

I walked out silently. The night was peaceful and calm. It reminded me of Konoha, suddenly I'm homesick. I wanna go home. When I stepped into my room. I slipped on some sand and fell.

" O-ouch...! " I cried.

" Sorry " a voice reply.

I jumped and yelped.

" W-who's t-there? "

" Gaara " said the voice.

" O-oh ... Gaara-sama, what are y-you doing in my room? "

" I was worried about you...your head hurts right?"

' He's worried about me? ' I thought in surprise. " Thanks...but I'm ok " I replied timidly thinking of how he almost killed me with his sand...(-.-* )

After that he said ' Goodnight ' and went out and I drifted off to sleep.

Morning came really fast.

" Hinata... Wanna go home? " I asked. " I'm homesick. "

" but I wanna stay here a little longer.... "

" O-ok... " I said :'(

Shikamaru P.O.V:

' the plan is on ' I thought. I told Hinata that we're going to the hot spring and Kankuro and Te,ari are going to drag Gaara into the mixed bath while Kirino was in there. I grinned again thinking of how smart I am...

Kirino P.O.V:

I stripped off leaving only my bra and underwear while putting on a bath towel. When I got to the water I took off my towel and stepped into the warm water. ' I wonder why no one is here ' I thought. Suddenly the short curtain was parted and Gaara stepped in or was pushed in.

He was wearing a bath towel showings his 6 packs and his muscular arms. I blinked and blushed while retreating into the water. I saw Gaara blushed and turned away. This is so AWKWARD!!!

" U-um...hi...what're....y-you doing...h-here? " I asked my mouth twitching.

" I don't know... " he said. I anime fell and laugh nervously.

" o-ok...you can enjoy I was about to get up... " I said getting up but then I remember I wasn't wearing anything and went red. Gaara's eyes widened but then turn away.

" Its okay...you can stay here with me...! " he said.

He walked into the bath and I back away to one corner. I tried to enjoyed the time while Gaara was frowning slightly in his corner.

Gaara P.O.V:

' She's avoiding me again... ' I thought ' Wait...but why do I care? '. Just then I saw Temari snickering in the corner and when she saw me looking at her... She disappeared. ' I'm going to kill her when I'm done!!! ' I thought angrily.

'' Kirino, do you mind if I send you on a mission? Kankuro, Temari and you squad are coming too..." I said.

" S-sure...why n-not? " she replied.

" Then let's get going! "

" O-ok... "

Kirino P.O.V:

I got out of the bath while Gaara turned away ang got dresses. Then I heard Temari begging someone.

" P-please!!! I was just...u-uh...I mean I accidentally send you into the mixed bath. It was n accident...I s-swear...! " begged Temari. I heard a ' bang ' and Temari walked out. There's a red ballon her head and a sick look on her face.

' someone just hit her on the head...hard...! ' I thought ' u-uh...o-oh here he comes!!!! '

Temari walked pass me and Gaara stepped out. There's a black aura around him. He looked so scary and I ran into hiding...

" Come out " he said.

" (^^ ' ) "

" Temari, Kankuro and your squad set the plan up, they pushed me into the bath while you're in there... " he said with his emotionless face.

" H-hehe...hehe " I laughed evilly, " it's okay...I'm going to kill them when I get back... " my mouth and eyebrow twitched. " I'm going to get ready for the mission, see you... "

" we're going to spent the night in the woods, pack sleeping bags! "

" r-right....! "
