Chapter 9

Kirino Pov:

I opened my eyes weakly as my eyes adjusted to the pouring sunlight. I felt agony rushed through me as I let out a groan.

'Didnt I die? Why am I feeling pain then?'

"She's coming around" I heard someone whispered.

When I fully regained my consciousness,I glanced around the room. It was a bare white room. I sighed quietly 'looks like I'm still alive and I'm in a hospital.

"Hey lil sis" Temari-san said softly.

I looked at her and then I saw Hinata too. I smiled reassuring them that I'm ok.

"This isn't my hallucination right guys??" I asked worriedly

"No it's not. You are in pure reality right now" Temari-San replied grinning.

"What happened? How many days was I out?" I asked them eagerly as I tried to sit up. Hinata saw what I was doing so she rushed toward me and helped me out.

"Thank you Hinata" I muttered.

"You've fainted for 3 full days. Back when we were ambushed, you got severely maimed and passed out. All of us cried thinking that you're not gonna make it but somehow that nine-tails jinchuriki idiot appeared with his squad and healed u. They told us that they were passing by on a mission and encountered us.

"Boy! Were we fortunate! Thank god." She exclaimed gratefully.

"Oh..." was all I could mumbled. I was too stunned and amazed of what had happened.

"Gaara was the most anxious one ya know! He killed those two assholes (the bounty hunters) in a split second" Temari-san continued.

I stayed silent although there was a tiny smile on my face.

'He did care for me' my inner self told me. Then I remembered what Gaara said before I blacked out. It was like....he was pleading me not to leave him....not to go or something. Thinking of it made me turned red.

Hinata noticed it and put the back of her hand on my forehead.

"Kirino-chan are you h-having a fever? Y-You look red."

My eyes widened in embarrassment and I gently took her hand off of my forehead.

"Don't worry Hinata. I'm ok..where's Shikimaru and Gaara?" I asked suddenly out of the blue changing the subject.

"That lazy Baka is probably playing shougi somewhere and Gaara's at his office working. He has many works to do. Tch...being a kage is really troublesome...what a drag."Temari-san replied.

I giggled slightly even Hinata found it amusing.

"What's so hilarious??" Temari-san questioned us with a suspicious look.

"Nothing" was what I managed to say before I bursted out laughing harder.

"TELL ME OR I'LL RIP YOU ALL INTO SHREDS!" She warned us with an evil tone but her face was not that serious.

Finally I managed to snap out of the laughing and choked out "Temari-san this is the first time you are using the phrase 'what a drag' which is Shikimaru's saying...are you guys together or what??"

"NOOO!!!! What are you babbling about? Baka!" She fumed but her face betrayed her by turning tomato red.

Me and Hinata noticed her blushing and started to laugh even harder then before which made my stomach hurts.

Temari-san looked mad at first but then she started laughing with us too.

After a minute of cracking up...we managed to calm down. Then Temari-san looked me into the eyes and smile genuinely as she gathered me and Hinata into a warm group hug.

"I always wish to have a little sister....now my wish is granted. I love you guys." Temari-San mumbled.

I blushed and hugged them tightly.

"Me too" was my short reply.

After hugging in silence we broke apart but still stayed next to each other.

"So...when will I be discharged?" I asked.

"If you're so eager to get out of this stuffy place...I guess this afternoon." Temari-San said.

I nodded and gave them a smile again.

"Ok..uhh Kirino-chan y-you should get some more s-sleep we'll be g-going now" Hinata said fiddling nervously with her fingers.

I smirked. 'Typical Hinata'

*afternoon*

I sat up leaning against the bed looking through the window down onto the scenario outside.

'When will Hinata and Temari-san come and pick me up?' I wondered.

Then there was a knock on the door and I said come in.

Hinata came in along with Shikimaru and Temari-San.

I nodded at them and went to dress. When I finished, I walked out with them into the sandy road.

The road was crowded but it didn't make me sweaty or go shaking like before. It's like after I met the Sand siblings, they made me overcome the phobia of crowded places, and now I open up more. :))

We walked in silence then my stomach growled. I looked at them apologetically and Shikimaru smirked.

"Just admit it, you ravenous" he stated.

I smiled innocently "Y-yeah...." i said shyly them Temari-San patted my shoulder.

"Let's just go eat ramen! It's my treat!"

I grinned and gave her a bone-crushing hug. She pushed me away gasping for breath. I giggled.

When we reached the ramen stall I ordered 8 miso soup ramen. They all gawked at me.

"What?" I asked curiously.

"E-eight??" Hinata questioned shockingly.

"Yeh...got a problem?" I looked at their faces one by one.

"U-uh...no..not at all" they said in unison jerking their head into another direction.

'What's wrong with them? Eight was a really little amount for me. I'm a ramen addicted person so I used to eat like 20 bowls back at Konoha.' I thought mentally.

When we're done, Temari-San paid it then we all went outside.

"Shouldn't we at least tell Gaara about you being discharged?" Shikimaru muttered glancing at me.

I blushed at the mention of Gaara's name. "O-ok then...lets go to the Kazekage's mansion" I replied trying to hide my excitement.

When we got there...it was like 6:30 p.m. we stopped in front of his wooden office door and Temari-san didn't even bother knocking as she bursted into his office.

She was the first one in.

"Hey! Lil brother! Kiri-" I heard her shout but then she was cut off when she saw something in the room making her eyes widened.

I didn't know what it was so I ran to her side and followed her gaze. At last I saw what she was gawking at.

It totally broke my heart really really bad.

There in the middle of the room.....was...a shocked Gaara on top of Matsuri...
