Okay, I think I've mentioned selfies before but I'm going to (try) to go into detail this time. And fair warning: some of this stuff will relate to more scene than emo.
First we are going talk about angles. Now, this isn't really necessary, but it's what I've noticed in many emo selfies. A lot of the super emo selfies are taken at a higher angle. It may look a bit awkward, but some people can pull it off.
Some others are taken while leaning over. Well, that's how I can describe it anyways.
This one may be a bit scene but emos can do it, too: adding stickers/effects to your pictures. You know, stars, sparkles, etc. Search Alex Dorame (piercethealex) on Instagram if you need to. I think she does this XD.
This is for all selfies, but I'm adding it anyways. Lighting. Good lighting = good selfie.
Make sure your hair and/or makeup is on fleek. Add a flower crown/hat or a necklace of some sort for something extra.
