I'm Broken Inside

Frisk P.O.V

"N-no. I don't believe you." Papyrus was still shaking and stuttering. "Come on Papyrus. We can do this together." (Underlined means flashback)

I stood before Papyrus with a blank face and knife in hand. I took a step forward. "ARE YOU OFFERING A HUG OF ACCEPTANCE? I-IF THAT IS THE CASE, I WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS!" Papyrus had is arms out, ready to hug me. I pressed the fight button. I smiled and dashed towards Papyrus, cutting across his neck. "T-THAT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I-I BELIEVE IN YOU... YOU CAN D-DO BETTER. EVEN IF YOU D-DON'T THINK SO.

I looked at Papyrus in the eye sockets. "W-where did my happy and believing Papyrus go? Y-you know I miss The Great Papyrus. Is he missing? Is he hiding?" Papyrus looked to the floor. "Y-you don't know my darkest secret yet."

"What do you mean? For as long as I could remember, you were so cheerful and caring." Papyrus adjusted the way he sat. I could tell this was going to be a long story. "When I scold Sans f-for being lazy, most people think it's a joke. An act. I eventually got tired of this and talked to Undyne about it. She didn't say much. All she told me was to 'do what you think is best'. At the time, I thought it was best to show Sans what I was going through. I started going to a lot of parties and drinking more. E-even while I'm getting ingredients for spaghetti, I sometimes get a few bottles to drink when I'm alone. After every party Sans always picks me up and walks me home and as expected, I-I'm always d-drunk. After a while, I stopped doing this to show Sans my point. I started doing this for... f-fun."

I stared at Papyrus with wide eyes as as he threw his red scarf on the floor. He resumed crying. "I-I don't care i-if you hate me after t-this. I g-guess I don't need a-anyone." More bones appeared around him. "Papyrus please! You don't have to do this! It's ok! I'll do everything I can to fix this."
