The stars were unlike any that would be seen in a London night sky. Laura stopped to look up at them, admittedly swaying slightly from side to side as she did so. Ricky watched her. She spun on her heels looking up to the stars. He caught her just as she was about to fall.

"Woah, be careful." Laura feel in to his arms. She giggled. "You need to get to bed!" he told her.

"I am tired," she let her head fall on to his shoulder as they turned and started back.

They felt like teenagers again, creeping into the house, trying not to wake Ricky's parents. However, as they crept up the stairs, Ricky heard the kitchen door open. They had waited up for them.

"You're in the room on the left at the top of the stairs. I just go and...you know." Ricky walked back down the stairs whilst Laura carried on with her bag up the stairs. She found the bathroom and brushed her teeth before returning to the bedroom. She had a better look around. The walls were covered in a mixture of art work. She looked closely at a few. They were signed 'Wilson'. Laura remembered Ricky telling her about art college. They must be his work. On the shelves was a collection of Star Wars figures. Laura smiled, remembering James having similar prized possessions. She unzipped her bag, pulling out her pyjamas and laying them on the bed. It was just as she had taken off her top that there was a gentle knock at the door. She held top against her body before tentatively saying, "Come in." It was Ricky. He slid in the door and quietly closed it behind him. Laura relaxed, lowering her top as she did so. Ricky saw the new underwear she had put on that morning.

"Wow!" He grinned, moving towards her, " I hope you wore that today for my benefit!" He said remembering Laura's admission of meeting with Aidan.

"Of course!" she draped her arms around his neck, "I did rather hope you'd be around to take pleasure from it at the end of the night, but..."

"I know, I'm sorry." He was studying the straps across her shoulders and following their course with his finger.

"Don't be sorry. You have to respect your parents wishes." She squirmed as his fingers traced across her breasts.

At that moment their was a creak of the floorboards on the landing and a voice called through the unopened door, "Goodnight Laura."

"Goodnight," she called back in as calm a voice as she could. Though this was followed by his father's voice through the door.

"Goodnight Ricky!" Ricky raised his eyebrows and dropped his arms to his sides. "This is just stupid," he whispered to Laura. He kissed her lips, "And you questioned why we were only staying for one night!" He turned and went to the door. He stopped to look at her. "Thank you for telling me about this afternoon. Honesty. That's the key to a relationship." And with a last smile he was gone.

Laura woke early the next morning. It took her a moment to remember where she was. She moved the curtains at the window to one side and looked out across the countryside. You didn't get views like that in London. She grabbed her phone and opened up Twitter to see what the people of the world had to tell her. James had just tweeted. On his way to Leeds for a conference apparently. She sent him one back telling him she too was up north. Seconds later she received a text message.

What you doing in Leeds? Can we meet up? I'm here for a few days.

Laura replied,

I'm up here with Ricky. Going home tomorrow afternoon. Not really sure what our plans are for today yet, will let you know. x x

A reply came straight back.

Ricky, Kaiser Chiefs Ricky????

This made Laura laugh. He'd remembered their conversation about the ice bucket challenge.
