Chapter Thirteen

Flanked by six Elite Guards, the Fallen strode solemnly down the hall to his prison cell, his arms in energy-dampening manacles that prevented him from using weapons or transforming. He had willingly surrendered himself to the army of police that had come to arrest him, giving in to their hateful profanity, sentences of justice, and physical beatings that they put him through. He deserved it, after all, because of his terrorist acts against the free people of Cybertron.

Honestly, he felt too weary to fight right now, anyway. He had suffered heavy damage from falling out of the sky, been blasted incessantly when slaughtering the innocents, been shot, cut, and bruised badly by the Elite Guards, and exhausted himself burning all his entropy and running on Dark Energon for so long. This was the most damage he had suffered since his face had been smashed off.

It still seemed strange how he was able to do what he had just done a megacycle ago. He had actually rid his bloodstream of Dark Energon and restored himself to his normal state. His guess was that he could do it not only because of the power of his entropy, but also because of his blood type. The Energon flowing in his veins was different from the rest on Cybertron. Whereas all the Blood of Primus on Cybertron was a pale blue color, and the Blood of Unicron its ugly purple, his was a shade of dark crimson, similar to the color of his eyes and supernatural flames. There was no bot like with such an ability.

It was probably linked to his creation. Primus had created him to be like Unicron, and he had made all of the Thirteen with his own skin and blood. But if the Megatronus he was born as was designed after Unicron, it was possible that Dark Energon had been in play from the very beginning. Primus had likely taken some of Unicron's blood he had shed and used his god-like powers to make the perfect fusion of light and Dark blood, forming the crimson Energon only he had.

And seeing as he was made probably made with Dark Energon, he had more control over it than anyone should be able to. If he so desired, he could burn his entropy and reconvert the Dark Energon into his own blood by mixing their natural composure to make the crimson Energon that was the result of mixing light and Dark.

Now, he was being escorted to a maximum security prison cell to await his punishment sentence. But, the Fallen had claimed, he had a reasonable argument to prove himself mostly innocent. A weak alibi he could only hope would work on the weak-minded of the court of law. Unfortunately, the law enforcement had forced him to not provide his evidence until he was securely behind bars.

Fair enough, he thought. I just need to bide my time for when I can truly make my ulterior move. He had surrendered himself not just because of his low chance of survival, but also because he had formulated a new plan that currently seemed impossible to achieve. Gaining the trust of the people of Cybertron so that he could bend them to his will by showing them a new belief of order. He would need to manipulate them with his unpracticed silver-tongue abilities.

It was sickening that the Fallen was lowering himself to the level of using persuasion tactics akin to those of Liege Maximo, but these times called for desperate measures. In another part of his mind, he was happy that he finally had the ability to cleverly manipulate others. He was grateful that he had stolen such an attribute from Maximo. Once he was fastened in prison, he could put his excuse to use.

He was quickly put in the largest, most well-defended cell in the prison complex. His escape was blocked by a thick set of bars lined with an impenetrable laser wall. It contained nothing but a wide bench to lie on and a few armed security cameras in the corners and walls. Speakers outside the cell door allowed bots outside to speak clearly to prisoners within. Something Sentinel Prime was about to do.

"What is your name, really?" Sentinel asked, holding himself up on a decorative staff given to him upon his coronation as a Prime. He too had suffered much great damage from the fight earlier. Now he was ready to execute proper judgement upon the Fallen.
