"Hmm..." I said aloud as I pondered... Everything. I guess I'm too much of a thinker, huh? I remember my genius sister used to tell me that; "You just get too hung up in the details, Andrew! That's your weakness!" she would say. I never did anything about it, really. It has its perks, though. For example, I already knew June was fighting a mild case of Hemaphobia since the second day of school when I got beat up (kinda weird she wants to be a nurse).
"Hello? Earth to Andrew!" Michael said, waving a hand in front of my face. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm on earth." I said. "Let's go." Michael said, pointing to the left and walking away.I looked behind me and saw them walking so far already so I ran to catch up. I saw June shivering next to me, she was covered in blood. "Are you alright?" I asked. "I'm f-f-fine. Thanks." June said, trying to hide her unease.
"You have Hemaphobia? But why didn't you freak out when Andrew was bleeding a while back?" Michael asked. "Being around blood is one thing, being c-covered from head to toe in it is definitely another." June answered, followed by a shudder. We came across a metal doorway built into the cavern wall that led to a hall. There was no other way. We walked in cautiously, hoping a bullet wouldn't come hurdling towards our heads. "What kind of mad scientist would go through the trouble to build all this?" Michael whispered.
"A really mad one." I whispered. I looked around the corner, and saw...... Nothing. I looked to the other side... Also nothing. The hallway was getting smaller. I looked behind me, and the once open doorway was now replaced by a wall. Soon, we were breathing down each other's necks in a room the size of a closet. Attempting to break the wall, I rammed myself against it repeatedly. Nothing. The walls stopped moving, and the space started to fill with water. Very rapidly. By the minute, the water was already above our waists. That's how fast it was. "I am not dying today."June said solemnly, as if her uneasiness had magically subsided.
She took off her jacket and threw it at my face. "Hold this." she said. She then took her cotton vest off (okay now I'm getting worried) and dove into the water with it in her hand. A few seconds later, the water stopped rising. She then surfaced and tried to push on the wall. "With the force of the water, we should be able to break through! Don't just stand there, help me!" June said. Flustered with embarrassment by the fact we've been bested by June, we joined to help. The wall started to budge, and soon it gave away.
The water pushed us out, but we weren't in the cavern anymore. We were in a completely different room. Again. It feels like a dream, all twisted. The silver room was completely empty, but even silence gets me uneasy at this point. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye, a knife brushed against my face and dug into the wall behind me.
