"Yokozawa, that man we met in the gardens with your angel, I wish to see him again.."

Yokozawa stared at Masamune suspiciously. "May I ask why?"

"Have you ever felt connected to someone without knowing them?"

Silence rang within the Masamune's living quarter, both males' thoughts running wild. "Yes." Yokozawa whispered. His voice raspy from nights of restless sleep. Neither man said a word after that, both too deep in their own thoughts to comment further.

Misaki's eyes fluttered open, revealing the beautiful green gems to the conscious world. An arm was wrapped around his waist and his legs intertwined with the longer legs of his soulmate. He snuggled into the arm under his neck and took a deep breath. Today he was going to check on Ritsu-san and convince him to stay. He knew there was little chance of changing the older man's mind but he couldn't bear the thought of Ritsu dying, much less alone.

He was brought out of his thoughts by a peck on the cheek. "What is on your mind so early in the morning?" He shook his head, dismissing the question for another moment, and reached up to stroke Usagi-chan's silver hair.

"Ritsu-san plans to leave and die all alone, without even trying to find a way to save himself." A whimper came from his throat, the shaking in his voice was proof of how much the situation was affecting him. He held in the tears because his Ritsu-San was at his lowest and he needed to be strong .

Usami could not make a comment, instead he comforted his mate by tightening his large arms around his mate's waist. Misaki relished in the feeling of comfort and safety, but frowned when he began thinking about Ritsu-san. Ritsu-san, who needed it the most, didn't have this comfort or safety. He didn't have that, he gave it up to save his lover.

-------------------------------------------

Ritsu sat in a bath tub filled with pink colored lukewarm water. His bloodied arms continued to taint the water pink within its wake. He opened his swollen eyes only to stare at the smooth ceiling. It was clear he had given up. Not only can you tell that he's given up on himself, but also on Masamune. Nightmares plagued his mind, reminding him of what he had before the witch took everything away. Every minute of consciousness, his thoughts were reminded of whispered sweet nothings  and the comfort of his other half.

It was torture.

Finally, he stood up shakily and wrapped a dark green towel around his overly thin frame. He stepped out of the bathtub holding onto the towel rack and dragging his sluggish body out the bathroom. His lungs struggled to fill with the oxygen that his body needed after what seemed to be a strenuous task.

It seemed as if he was being courted by death every passing second. Instead of three weeks, it seemed like he had three days with all the exhaustion he felt doing small tasks like sitting up or changing clothes. If he were to be honest, nothing mattered anymore. He was going to die soon and there was no use in putting social formalities like hygiene or any like manner.

A whimper escaped his throat as he finally reached the bed in the small room. However, he did not bother getting dressed, his body was already too tired from bathing alone, so rather he decided to simply lay nude. Time passed by but Ritsu continued to lay on the bed shivering from the biting chill. In his head, he played Masamune's favorite piano piece to give him some sort of bittersweet comfort. His fingers moved to the melody but even then his whole body hurt.

--------------------------------------------

"Have you had any headaches or sharp pains Takano-dono"

Takano Masamune's nodded his head, receiving a glance from the doctor. "...I want to know if you know this someone." The doctor was confused.

"Who Takano-dono?"

"The angel. The one from the hospital room. Why is he in a wheel chair now?"

"Unfortunately, he is not a patient of mine Takano-dono. "

"Ah. I see."

Masamune was determined to know why the man in the wheel chair seemed so familiar. He searched his mind for any meeting he might of had with the beauty but every time he tried, his head would burn and his vision would sway. Suddenly, he felt a tug in his chest. It felt as if someone had tied a string onto his sternum and was pulling him.

The 'tugging' led him into a bedroom in the commons department, far from his own living quarters. He knocked but received no answer. Curiosity ate at him and the tugging led him to turn the door knob and enter the dark room that lacked the life that most occupied rooms had.

Stepping into the room and closing the door, Masamune felt as if his heart had shattered within his own chest. The room itself felt lifeless, and there was the mysteriously familiar man that he had been curious about laying on the bed resting as if he were dead. Masamune could not imagine why the sight tore his heart to shreds. This man was one he just recently met on a walk in the garden with Yokozawa, so why did the sight of him sleeping like a dead man hurt him so? He took a step towards the bed, his breath stuttering in his lungs and his hand reached out towards the sleeping man.

"M-Masa...mune.."

Masamune flinched back. How did the familiar man know his name? Had they met before the garden? How was he sure that he was the Masamune that the familiar man was talking about? Honestly, he was not sure at all, but a part of him hoped that this familiar man knew him.

"I-I am here." Masamune whispered, continuing to stare as the sleeping man started to whimper and cry in his sleep. He watched a single tear run from the side of Onodera's closed eye and disappeared into the fringe of his hazelnut hair. Unable to resist, Masamune reached out with his hand and pushed the tangled wet hair away from Onodera's forehead.

Suddenly the room flashed white...
