Chapter Seven

My eyes fluttered open and I looked at the sunlight that streamed in through the windows behind me. I sat up and rubbed my head. "Morning Sleeping Beauty." I heard Cody's voice and sat up, looking over and seeing him eating cereal in a chair. Renesme and Jacob where sitting on a love seat cuddling.

"Morning..." I said wiping my eyes that where slightly damp with tears. I hate waking up with wet eyes, but nobody discriminated against me for it, I had good grounds to cry, and I'm sure they where all debriefed on what had happened.

"Esme cooked breakfast, the kitchen is just through there." Jacob said pointing behind him. I nodded an walked that way slowly, my feet felt heavy, along with my head. my legs felt as if cement had put them in a stationary position, and I fought to stay upright.

Once I reached the kitchen Esme came over and hugged me. "I hope your feeling better." She said letting go of me and walking back over to the stove and sliding pancakes onto the plate and setting them in front of a stool.

"Thank you... for everything you've done." I said looking at her with appreciation. She didn't have to be this nice, none of them did, I mean I barged in unannounced, yelled, ran away, got injured, and probably screamed in my sleep a couple times.

"It's the least I can do, you've been so kind to all of the kids, and grand kids, and great grand kids in my family." She gave a smile. "You remind me of your great grandma Angela." She pulled out butter and syrup.

"You knew her?" I asked with a small smile. I guess I should have known that, but I had only figured that it was merely a friendship between the children rather than the parents.

"Yes, her and Bella where vary good friends when Bella was still human. Your grandfather Mike, him and Edward where never on good terms. He liked Bella to much for Edward to be okay with it." She said smiling and putting the fork next to my plate and allowing me to chow down on the pancakes.

I couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought of it. I finished the pancakes and just as I got ready to speak, Alice came down with a rack of clothes in her hands. "Come on, we have to get you dressed for school!" She said happily, Bella and Rosalie coming down the stairs next to her.

"I wouldn't resist, took me ninety years to figure out, but I figured it out." Bella said coming to a stop, she was already dressed in white skinny jeans, a pink top, and silver heels. Rosalie was wearing blue jeans, black heels, a grey tee shirt, and a white jacket over it.

"Okay, as long as it's not to bright colored, and it will go with my convers." I said looking at the outfit Alice wore, a strapless yellow top with a white shaw and then a white skirt and yellow pumps.

"Awe, but heels are half the fun!" She said stamping her heel lightly on the ground.

"I have the coordination of a child just learning to walk, and the enthusiasm of a gothic for bright colors." I said hopping out of the stool and stumbling a little.

"She might be worse then you where Bells." Emmet said walking by and kissing Rosalie then running outside before Alice could get ahold of him. Alice grumbled a few unintelligible words and then dragged me up stairs, showing no impatience when I fell up a few stairs every once and a while. They got me upstairs and instantly made me change into a pair of black skinny jeans, a sky blue tee shirt, my favorite light color, and a smokey gray scarf wrapped around my neck. After changing, I naively thought it was over, but was sorely mistaken. Alice put my makeup on, slapping heavy foundation on and then giving me a smokey eye, that she said made the color pop. After all of that torcher, Rosalie got to work on my hair, straightening the thick curls until it was like a wig. I had never seen my curls so straight before, other than my bangs, which I straightened most of the time. After all of that, and the fight with Rosalie, she finally caved and let me leave my bangs in front of one of my eyes. After all that trouble we went to the cars, Carlisle forbid me from driving under recent circumstances, so I sat in the passenger seat as Cody drove me.

"Thank you." I said with a small smile as I looked over to him. His flawless features struck me and made my heart flutter.

"No problem." He said looking over and giving a smile, then moving his attention back to the road ahead.

"S-so, your a vampire too?" I asked, trying to figure it all out. If Jacob wasn't a vampire, all the others where, and Renesmee was Bella's child- yep, to confusing.

"No, I wish it where that simple. See my mom was born when my grandma- Bella- was still human, so she is half Vampire half Human. My dad grew up with Bella, but he is a werewolf. So- that would make me half werewolf, one quarter human, one quarter vampire. But because of the Vampire venom and werewolf genes in me, the human part was lost." He said it all very fast, and it took me a minute to process.

"So do you turn into a beast every full moon and seek blood?" I asked, thinking it was the only logical explanation to this confusing and unlogical conversation.

"No, I can change into a giant wolf any time I want, and I don't really drink blood, mainly eat food. Both my parents are that way, but we all know my mom wants to hunt again." He shrugged.

"So if Bella is- and correct me if I'm wrong- one hundred and eight, how old are you?" I asked, afraid of the answer.

"She is actually one hundred and nine, she turned at nineteen, but I'm seventeen now. I stopped aging at seven, so it's been ten years since my last change." He shrugged and turned the corner.

"Oh, I just turned seventeen a couple months ago." I said with a smile. "So good to know." I looked out the window and watched the trees zoom on by. We both looked over when we reached a stop sign, and when our eyes met, I was mesmerized by the beautiful mix of green, brown, and gold that seemed to just pop against his tan skin and dark black-brown hair. It absolutely took my breath away. Quickly I adverted my eyes to the road ahead and we rode in silence the rest of the way to school, only to be submerged in silence during a Biology experiment also. What was it about him that makes it so hard to talk?
