CHAPTER 5: Wolf Festival

Chapter 5

Sitting next to Chen was kinda regretful for you... He always babble stuff to you. Every. single. time. But no worries, he helps you with homeworks so it's still worth it. But then there was no permanent sitting arrangement present in this classroom. You can just transfer to any seat you like so today, you sat next to Lay, who was opposite to Chen. He was mostly quite, yet his silence made you oddly comfortable.

"Class, Wolf Festival is near, each class must present a role play all about wolves, and no exceptions!" Mr. Chu announced in front of the whole class as soon as he entered.

"WHAT?!" all of them exclaimed, even you.

"Now now, any suggestions for the theme for the role play?" Mr. Chu asked, changing the mood.

You then raised your hand immediately.

"Yes, Yanni." Mr. Chu pointed at you.

You stood up, "I suggest the role play must be full of drama, no comedy please so that it would look formal." You thought the more formal, the better, while others nodded in agreement.

"Full of romance too!" Baekhyun shouted from behind.

"And action!" Tao also suggested.

"Also fantasy!" Sehun added.

"Okay okay, so the role play would be full of drama, romance, action and fantasy? So mixed then?" Mr. Chu asked for confirmation.

"NE!" The whole class strongly agreed.

"What about the characters?" Kris asked, twirling a pencil between his long fingers.

"Well, for the characters, I will be the one making and assigning that," Mr. Chu suggested, well, more likely volunteered.

Before anyone could object, Mr. Chu started writing on the board like a madman.

He wrote on the board the following characters:

Narrator- Chen

Alpha Wolf- Chanyeol

Princess Wolf-Yanni

Wolf 1- Kai

Wolf 2- Tao

Wolf 3- Kris

Queen of the Forest- Xiumin

Forest Fairy- Baekhyun

Wise Owl- D.O

Bad Wolf- Luhan

Bad Troll- Sehun

Witch Doctor- Lay

Old Wizard- Suho

"WHAAAAAAT!?!?!?" The whole class was mortified. Your classmates went ballistic, even you yourself.

"Where did you get these horrible characters?" Luhan asked with a disgusted face.

"Calm down guys! It's not like the end of the world! You're overreacting! Come on, It's from my trusty brain!" Mr. Chu said while chuckling.

"Easy for you to say," Chanyeol mumbled who was massaging his temples

"Yeah right," Xiumin objected quietly.

"Yey! I'm a wolf! I'm gonna be a spotted black and white wolfie! Yey for me!" Tao suddenly cheered himself.

"Wouldn't that look like a wolf panda?" Kris commented, looking at Tao.

"I don't care, as long as it's black and white," Tao said while sticking his tongue out to Kris.

"Why am I always the narrator??" Chen whined.

"Because you're good at it! And since you're the narrator, you will be the one making the script okay? Just make it short if possible," Mr. Chu told Chen.

"Fine~ I'll start right now," Chen agreed while grabbing a pencil and a notepad.

"But sir! Why am I the Princess Wolf? Can't I be just a Fairy or something??" You complained. This was not good.

"Well, look around Yanni, you're the only one that can pull off the Princess Wolf. Plus, it suits you," Mr. Chu answered while smiling.

You just sighed, realizing you are the only female in class.

"And why am I the Alpha Wolf???" Chanyeol complained too.

"Because the alpha type suits you, you're big and strong and I know you know how to act," Mr. Chu replied positively.

"Aish..."Chanyeol mumbled.

"Why am I always the doctor?? Sir??" Lay who was your seatmate for the day, complained.

"Cuz you were a doctor once on a role play and I saw it, you're very good at it," Mr. Chu answered.

"I was?? When?? Where?? Why?? I totally forgot!" Lay said, shocked, and somehow mesmerized. You quitely giggled at his dorkiness.

"Sir! I don't want to be a Fairy!! I don't wanna cross-dress!"Baekhyun whined as loud as he can.

"I also don't want to be an old wizard sir! Why old??" Suho also whined.

"I too sir don't want to be an owl. It's like an insult to me..." D.O complained.

"Sir! This can't be! I also don't want to be the Queen! I don't want to be a girl!!!" Xiumin complained loudly.

"Well, you've got to suck on it guys. Anyways, gotta go! I still have a meeting! Yanni, you're still in charge. Byeee!" Mr. Chu then got out. Meetings were his excuse for an escape...What a teacher.

You just sighed *Oh well, another annoying day for me again, yey.*

Then someone tapped your shoulder, you turn your head and it was Chen.

"The Script is done," He said proudly.

"Oh, that fast? You're so good!" You praised, Chen making him blush.

"Psssh..." You heard Chanyeol reacting at the back, you just ignored him.

You were about to take a look at the script but then your phone rang.

"Uhm. Excuse me," You told Chen. He patiently nodded.

You reached for it and answered, thinking who could it be.

"Yeoboseyo?" you answered.

After the panic words of your mom on the phone and knowing what just happened, you were too shocked to understand what was happening, your head started spinning and you suddenly can't breathe properly. And that made you drop your cheap phone on the floor, breaking it into pieces that could never be fixed again.

Your legs became weak, you were about to faint and you fall backwards making someone catch you in time.

All you saw was a blur and a bunch of heads around you, hands shaking your shoulders, worried voices calling for your name, you felt someone carrying you.
Darkness was seeping in and before you knew it,

you blacked out.
