"Portland is fantastic once you can get over all the whiney music and healthy-looking people. It's literally a breeding ground for werewolves," Rosemary heard Niklaus say over the phone. Her blood boiled at the mere sound of his voice and she felt the urge to pull him out through the phone and kill him with her bare hands.
"Your father is dead," Stefan stated bluntly.
"What did you say to me?" Klaus asked, sounding murderous. His tone caused the redhead to snicker.
"Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father, and not dead," Stefan said. "Mikael. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?"
"Well, first, I want you to explain to me exactly what happened," Klaus ordered.
One hour earlier
Stefan, Elena and Damon entered the library. Rosemary was already there, standing with her arms crossed and a scowl that seemed to be permanently stuck on her face.
"All right, we'll say that Mikael followed Elena in here. He tried to grab her so he could use her as bait," Stefan said.
"And you what? Vervained him?" Elena asked.
"No, Rose and I vervained him. The guy's an original. Make it look realistic," Damon said. Rosemary was the oldest one in the room, and the most aggressive, while Damon the most reckless. It seemed realistic in everyone's eyes that the two would somehow manage to vervain Mikael.
"How do you expect Rose to even touch Mikael?" Elena questioned, throwing her arms in the air. "She doesn't look like she could hurt a fly."
Angered, Rosemary stepped up to Elena. She stood right in front of her, their noses almost touching. One benefit with heels was that Rosemary wasn't always shorter than average and actually could intimidate people. "Want to test that theory?"
Damon rolled his eyes before pulling Rosemary away from Elena. "No catfight today, honey."
"Call me that again and I'll show you just how sweet I am."
"Ok. Fine. Rose and Damon vervained him and in the process discovered that he had a dagger," Stefan jumped in, preventing Rosemary to fight everyone in the room and tell Klaus about their plans out of spite.
The redhead walked around in the library, trying to calm down. The only reason she was still there was to help kill Niklaus, the only man she loathed more than anyone else.
"Which he planned to use on Rebekah. But instead," Elena started.
"We drove it through his heart," Stefan finished for her.
"What happens when he asks to see Mikael's body?" Rosemary questioned as she walked back to them.
"Good point. You, my brother, have been compelled to do what Klaus says," Damon said. "And so, if the idea is to lure him back here and kill him, the last thing we need is you getting tripped up and tongue tied."
"Well, don't look at me. I'm just in charge of getting him back here," Stefan said.
"I hate to admit this, but Klaus is smart," Rosemary stated. "If we tell him that Mikael is indeed dead, he is going to want proof," she said, crossing her arms.
