Heavy breaths and low moans filled the otherwise quiet room. Sun rays slipped through the closed curtains and shone light on the two lovers on the bed. Ripped pieces of fabric that used to be clothes were scattered around the room. The two lovers were heavily making out, and the two didn't want to let each other go.
Eventually, Rosemary pulled away from Kol. She had completely forgotten why she was angry at him the night before. She lied in his arms and closed her eyes, completely relaxed for the first time in what seemed like forever.
"Can we stay like this forever? Never having to worry about Nik or people trying to kill us for existing?" Rosemary asked. That last sentence triggered everything she had felt the night before. She suddenly remembered why she was so anxious the night before. Her eyes opened and she shot up in bed, startling Kol. "Oh my god, someone is trying to kill you."
"What? Again?" Kol asked. Rosemary groaned and rubbed her face with her hands. She brushed her red hair back and looked at Kol.
"Elijah and I-"
"Elijah too?" Kol questioned, suddenly beginning to feel anxious. Rosemary was bad enough, but Elijah having suspicions too? That was way too much. He sat up, causing the blanket on him to fall and expose his abs. Rosemary licked her lips, getting distracted by the sight in front of her. "Rose, focus."
Rosemary shook her head and looked Kol in the eyes. "Yes, Elijah. We, well he, talked to Elena and according to her, Esther only wanted to apologize to Elena for trying to kill her. Did you even know about that happening? Anyways, I don't believe her and before you lose your shit, listen," Rosemary said when Kol opened his mouth to protest. "The champagne. It was weird. Mine was normal, but yours... It was red. There was blood in that."
"Mother clearly spiked it."
"Yes, she spiked it," Rosemary said, her eyes wide. Kol looked just as clueless as when Rosemary said she and Elijah had their suspicions. "You used to be a witch! Figure it out!" Rosemary said, annoyed with how clueless Kol could get. She put up a wall in her mind, keeping Kol from peeking in and understanding what she was trying to get at.
She got up from the bed and rolled her eyes at the thought of how often she and Kol actually fought. Her pride kept her from apologizing and calmly talking to Kol about it though, so she put on her clothes and left the room.
Rosemary decided that it had been way too long since the last feeding (and by too long she meant approximately twenty six hours), she walked down the stairs. Klaus had set up a pretty neat system. All feeders stayed downstairs in comfortable rooms and good entertainment. They had kitchens and if they wanted, they could request food from the chefs.
The redhead walked down the hall, following the scent of that delicious blood. She opened the door to Alexia's room and looked around in it. She frowned when she saw that the bed was empty and that the room was awfully quiet. It seemed as if no one had been in there at all. She stepped into the room and looked around, her hand still gripping the handle.
A sharp sting in her face startled Rosemary. She scowled and touched her cheek, seeing blood on her pale fingers. She looked up, a dark look in her face, and was surprised to see Alexia standing there. Her hazel eyes darted to Alexia's hand. She was clutching the silver knife. Red blood dropped down on the white carpet. Rosemary's blood.
"What are you doing?" Rosemary asked, walking up to the brunette. She had a murderous look on her face, but surprise was still written all over her.
"Don't- don't come closer!" Alexia stuttered, holding her knife up. Rosemary looked down at the knife and snorted. She took the knife out of her hand, ignoring the sharp pain in her hand as the blade dug into her hand, and tossed it across the room.
