11. Chapter Eleven – Losing it

Ellie’s POV:

The next morning when I woke up I felt terrible. Literally. I was sweaty, my cheeks were tear-stained, my hair was a mess, I had a bad taste in my mouth, my sheets were everywhere and I had a headache. Groaning, I rolled out of bed and grabbed some jeans and a T-shirt. I was so glad that the school had gotten rid of that old policy forcing everyone to wear robes every day. I headed to the shower, grabbing my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel from the shelves in the bathroom.

Stepping under the warm water, I let it cascade over my back and shoulders as I felt myself relax. Sebastian? An idiot. James? An honest friend. Cheating? Not my problem. School? Too easy. I found a solution to literally all of my problems whilst I was standing in the steam. Squirting and massaging some shampoo into my hair, I thought of Sebastian and what I should do. As I rinsed it out and replaced it with conditioner, I formulated a plan. Quickly washing the conditioner from my head, I stepped out and dried myself, quickly throwing on the clothes I had selected earlier.

“Ohmigod Ellie where were you last night you just disappeared?” Tiana gabbled.

“Oh, I just got some news and was a bit upset,” I replied breezily. “Turns out that Sebastian is also with the girl in one of the clothes shops in Hogsmeade.” I heard a collective gasp and elaborated, also explaining my master plan for how to introduce it to him.

“You’re a genius, El,” one of the triplets breathed. Today she was wearing a white dress with a purple sash and collar, with matching bands around the bottom of the knee-length skirt and on the T-shirt length sleeves. She had a purple ribbon in her ponytail and a purple bow on her white flats. Another twin had green and the other one had orange.

“I’m Stace,” she added. Orange was Macey and green was Tracey.

“Look on that chart and you can see our colors,” Macey advised. I had a glance at it, knowing that I would need to refer to it a lot in the near future. I noticed that Stacey had all the traditional ‘girl colors’ and Tracey had the ‘boy colors’ whilst Macey had unisex colors. Cool, would have to remember that. Anyway, back to real life.

“So anyway, let’s put step one into action,” Tania instructed, a devilish grin creeping over her face.

“But first I have to talk to James,” I replied, taking the canvas shoes that Hermione handed me. “I’ll meet you outside the Hall in twenty minutes.” Dashing out the door of my dorm, I ran up to boys’ section.

“HEY HEY HEY JAMES!” I yelled, bursting in to dormitory. Seeing the guys, I screamed and ran out, waiting in the hallway.

“Tell me when you’ve put some clothes on,” I yelled into the room. I considered what I had seen… they had all been shirtless, and I remember particularly one guy… he had his shirt off, and he had muscles. He was hot!

“James, can I come in now?”

“Yeah, Ellie.” I went in and saw ten boys lined up beside their beds, arms raised in a salute. I looked for the face I had caught a glimpse of, the owner of the abs… Whoops. James. Haha, awkward laugh.

“Daniel, Paul, Rupert, James, Sergio, Luke, Phil, Marcus, Steven and John,” I drawled, marching down in between them. They saluted at the sound of their names and I asked for a ‘private talk with Private Turner’ and told the other boys to go to breakfast.
