Chapter 3: Time to make up
“Please Jessie, pleaseeeeeeeeee! Pretty please.” Kate practically begged me.
“No” I said stubbornly.
“Don’t make me go on my hand and knees because you know I will, just because where in the middle of the school hall way it won’t stop me ” She warned.
“Go on then.” I smirked and, surprise emitted on her face before she covered it with a smirked of her own. She dropped dramatically on the floor, on her hands and knees in a praying position.
“Jessie please!” she screamed, god everyone is looking at us, this is embarrassing.
“You are crazy?” I whispered to her.
“Tell me what happened then I’ll stop.” She gritted her teeth, whisper shouting. I didn’t reply and just stared at her bewildered, she shrugged her shoulder and carried on shouting at the top of her lungs.
“JESSIEEE!!!! PLEASEEEEE! PLEA-”
“FINE! Just shut up.” I told her and gave her my hand to get her up.
She took my hand with a victory smile on her face, she started to dust of the dust the got caught in her tights and skirt, and she started to examine her nails before saying.
“I love it when things go my way.” As she started to fix her hair. Kate exactly said what Jayden said to me yesterday. “Good, I love it when things go my way.” I visibly shivered of the memory and shook my head.
After yesterday, I really don’t want to explain everything to Kate, it’s all Jayden and his friends fault, all of them had to greet me this morning sending me smiles and Jayden just winked at me that just sent Kate into detective mode to fine out everything that happened to why they greeted me.
We walked towards the cafeteria, collected our lunch and we sat on our usual two seated table, we didn’t have a group of friends, or other ‘hi and bye’ friends it was just simply us two, best friends. But I don’t understand how I got the mad crazy one.
“Spill the beans before I beg here.” She warned me.
I rolled my eyes “There's no way out of you is there, what happened to your dignity?”
“Oh that I locked it in a box this morning because it knew that it would hold me back from begging you.” She said casually
“You’re talking about your dignity as if its an alive and living person.”
“Yeah so... stop changing the subject tell me now... you got three seconds.” She looked at me waiting
“Wait-”
“three”
“Hold up let me-”
“two”
“I need to-”
“One”
“But like-”
“Times up, JESSI-” I jumped up across the table and taped my hand over her mouth.
“Beg again I won’t hesitate, to take your new mascara that you bought yesterday and throw it in the bin.” I taunted, he eyes widened as she shook her head vigorously, I smirked, knowing the fear in her eyes said it all. I know she has a soft spot for make-up
“If I take my hand away you will not, I repeat, you will not beg me to tell you what happened, Do.You.Understand?” I say half shouting, she nodded her head and I slowly took my hand away from her mouth. She didn’t say anything and I smiled.
