You open your eyes slowly to the sound of something you despise, thunder. Not soon after seeing a clash of lightning through the window in your girlfriends bedroom.
''Nia'' you whispered multiple times, finally being able to wake her up after tapping her for a while too.
''What's wrong baby?'' she said opening one of her eyes and rolling over to look up at your shadow sat on the bed.
''Thunder. and lightning.'' you whispered as another flash of lighting shot through the window.
''Awe baby come here'' Nia cooed as she lifted up the duvet and patted the spot next to her. You laid down slowly as you moved to fit into Nia's frame, becoming the little spoon.
She slid her arms around your waist and rubbed circles on your hip to sooth you. Every time you jumped from the thunder she whispered sweet things in your ear to calm you, continuing to rub little shapes on your hip.
Your eyes grew heavy and you relaxed your body, ''Don't worry baby i'm not going to sleep until you do'' Nia whispered, kissing your neck. You slowly relaxed into her rubbing shapes into your hip and whispered sweet things in your ear, along with her warm body pressed against you, you finally fell asleep in the arms of the love of your life.
