Today you were going with your girlfriend to an animal shelter to get a dog, yeh it may sound stupid to some people but it was a big step in your relationship in both your eyes and a big commitment between you so today was the day you were adding an addition to your family.
You entered the animal shelter and went to the back were they had rows of kennels each filled with a different breed of dog or a small and cute cluster of puppies.
''What are you thinking babe?'' you said as you walked round hand in hand. ''I think we should get a puppy, then we can watch it grow old and if we decide to get kids our dog will always be there from day 1 to bond with our children.''
''Awe babe you're so cute thinking about us having kids!'' you teased as she shook her head and blushed.
You walked round some more, until you came across a kennel full of very energetic, happy puppies all playing with the toys they had been giving and messing around with eachother, they all looked the same apart from one who sat at the back of the kennel by itself.
The rest of the cluster of puppies were all a dark shade of blue and grey, whilst the puppy on it's own was a mix of white and black and looked very lonely and sad.
''I want this one'' you smiled as Miranda asked an assistant to get the dog for you both.
You went home extremely happy with your new family member.
