Who The Heck Is Spike!?

  I turn around to see a very scary-looking, angry Chase. "Chase," I whimper. "It's okay." He's not looking at me. He's looking at Perry with an evil glint in his eye, growling. I can tell that he is about to charge. "Down, boy," I say, softly, my voice full of fear. He ignores me and lunges at Perry. Perry screams, "Well, look at this! Fido is back!" "Fido," I ask. Bree walks over to me. "That's just what Perry calls him," she says. "His name is actually Spike." I look at her, confused, "Who the heck is Spike!?"

  Chase gives an angry roar and I cover my ears. Bree points to Chase, who is wrestling with Perry. "That's Spike," she says. "Him," I ask. "But his name is Little Genius, I mean Smart Cookie, I mean Cutie Pie, I mean Chase." "Yeah, well now, he's Spike," Bree says. I jump when I hear a loud crash and see Chase, I mean, Spike, and Perry beating the tar out of each other by the lockers. "Can somebody please explain to me what in the world is going on," I shout. "Sure," Bree says. "But first, DUCK!" She grabs my arm and pulls me down as Adam and Leo duck and a desk comes flying over our heads, hitting the wall. I give a high pitched yelp, "Ah!"

  "Come on, guys," says Leo. "We need to hide somewhere before...Spike, rips out our larynxes or something!" We all run into the janitor's closet and shut the door, muffling the chaotic noises coming from outside. "Okay, I want explanations and I want them now," I demand. "Okay, so Chase has this app in his chip called a Commando App, and when he gets really angry and wants to defend himself or someone else, an angry beast that we call Spike comes out and causes him to-" Bree stops talking when we hear Spike yell, "I'm gonna rip out your intestines and wear 'em as a headband!" "Well, act like that," Bree says, finishing her sentence.

  "Well, how do we stop it," I ask. "You can't really stop it," says Leo. "You just have to wait until his app disengages." I pout and cover my ears when there is a loud crash. I really don't like this side of Chase. Spike scares me, but Spike is inside of Chase. It's gonna be hard being in a relationship with someone like this. There is a loud bang and I hear Chase groan in his normal voice, "Why am I being wrestled by a female manly-looking wrestler in a pantsuit?" I give a sigh of relief and fling the door open. "Chase," I cry, running to him. I hear footsteps behind me and realize that Adam, Bree, and Leo have followed me. Perry is flopping up and down on top of Chase. "Victory," she screams. "Principle Perry, stop," I cry. "You're hurting him!"

  She flat out ignores me. I look at Chase, who is screaming and gasping for air. "Don't worry, Little Genius," I cry. "I'll save you!" I tug at Perry's shirt. "Stop," I cry. "Stop! He has no idea what he did! He didn't mean any of it!" Perry stands up and Chase screams and gasps for air. I get on my knees at Chase's side and put my arm on his shoulder. "Are you okay, Little Genius," I whisper. "I think so," he replies. "Did Spike come back?" I nod. He groans, "Oh no! I'm so sorry that you had to see me like that!" "It's okay," I say. "I just don't want it to happen again." "Me neither," Chase says. I stand up and hold out my hand for him. He takes it willingly and I help him up. "I am the champion of the world," Perry screams, running to her office. The students scatter and I say to Chase, "Well, it looks like I have a new nickname for you now." "What is it," he asks. I smirk, "The Hulk."
