I sighed, and went to the next isle. After the training, Kakashi had slipped me some money to buy some more groceries. He said he'd look into the profiles of some Mist Village ninjas, for me. Currently, I was at the store, getting bored. I had just left the clothing isle, and walking into the book isle. I looked though the titles, looking for something to catch me eye, when I noticed a too familiar title; Make Out Paradise. I looked around, to make sure no one was looking, and I snatched the book off the shelf. I looked at the cover, it made me uneasy to hold it. It looked like one of those romance novels that were too detailed. I skimmed the first few pages, and I felt myself turn red. It was exactly what I'd thought. I scanned the book some more, hoping I was wrong, until some one snatched the book out of my hands. I spun around, to see Kakashi.
"Now, didn't I say a good little girl like you, shouldn't read something like this?" He said, smiling. I rolled my eyes, and reached for the book. He took it out of my reach, and I looked at him with a frown.
"I'm not little, we went over this!" I snipped. I picked up the basket full of groceries, and, pitifully, used my crutches to walk away. He stopped me, and took my basket. He's put he book back, and we went through the checkout counter. We made our way back to Naruto's.
"So, Kakashi, what's with you and your headband?" I asked.
"What? Oh, uh, well......." "C'mon! It can't be that bad," I said. I turned to him, and leaned on my crutches. I reached out, and lifted up his headband. Under it, I saw a sharingan eye. I was speechless. He turned a slight pink, and quickly pulled his headband back over his eye.
"Sorry, I-" "It's fine, I mean, it's not like you wouldn't fin out sooner or later," he said carrying the groceries. I sighed ,and ruffled his silver hair.
"Gah! My hair!" He cried. He smiled, and playfully ruffled my hair back. We laughed, and continued walking. We were almost to Naruto's when I felt like I was being watched.
"Kakashi, I have a feeling we're being watched," I whispered. He nodded, and I spun around quickly, and threw a small shuriken behind me. It went into the tree a few feet behind us, and I heard a shout. Suddenly Naruto an Sakura fell out of the tree, onto the street behind us.
"Naruto! Sakura!" Cried Kakashi. Naruto was nervously smiling and laughing. Sakura was blushing, and being extraordinarily quiet.
"We're you guys watching us?" I asked. Sakura nodded her head.
"No! We were, uh, looking for a stray cat and-" "Oh, shut up. You could've just said we were training, you loser," Sasuke dropped down from the tree.
"Why were you watching us?" Kakashi asked.
"The real question is, Kakashi-Sensei, is what are you doing with Emari so late at night?" Sasuke asked, without emotion. I looked around, it had gotten dark.
"Heh, guess I lost track of time. Well, come on Naruto, you can carry the bags back. See you guys tomorrow," I said. Naruto took the bags from Kakashi, and we all went to our homes.
