Chapter Fifteen

  'We thought you were a goner' Lucern said looking at me with relief 'When we got there and you were gone, we didn't know what had happened, I couldn't hear you anymore, it was as if our connection had broken'

 'I am just so relieved you got out of there Eliza' Darius said sweeping me up into an enormous and tight hug.

 'Me too' I breathed, removing myself from the hug 'Did you know that this is an operation all over the world' 

 'We did' Lucern muttered uncomfortably 'But we didn't think they would be so stupid as to come after you'

 'Well they did, and they knew that I was powerful, someone must be working for them' 

 I bet it's that Casey bitch

Now. Now lets not jump to conclusions, you don't know that, so keep it to yourself

Go away, you're really starting to get on my nerves you know

Nope, you're stuck with me

'So, are you gonna explain who these two are?' Darius said gesturing to the two ethereally beautifalwomen standing behind me, we were all cramped in Darius' kitchen, his parents were out giving us a chance to discuss what was happening.

 'This is Shannon and Shayla, they're Selkies' They both said Hi to the guys shyly and looked down again.

 'Woah, i've never met one of those before, so you guys are Irish or Scottish then?' Lucern asked in wonder.

 'Aye' They both answered in unision.

'Eliza saved us from the vampires, they were torturing us for months and took our skins away' Shayleesaid her voice cracking with emotion, I looked at Lucern and Darius, their mouths were open wide in shock, and their faces were contorted in pity. At least they understood.

 'How did you get out of there?' Lucern asked, obviously confused as to how I managed to get past 12 highly trained vampires.

 'My powers just kicked in, it was as if I suddenly understood how to control my demi-god abilities, I just kept telling them what to do and they did it' I said shrugging, it was hard to explain really, so I gave them a run down on what had happened the best way I could.

 'Jesus' whispered Darius.

 'Wow' Lucern breathed 'This is bloody fantastic, do you know what this means?'

 'What?'

 'It means Eliza, that with you we are untouchable, they can't come near us yet, they'll have to plan for months and now so will we'

 'Shouldn't we go to the council?' asked Darius, looking worried.

 'I'm not sure yet, it's pretty important, no-ones escaped from them, they usually kidnap, torture kill'Lucern looked at me in amazement, yet underneath he looked frightened, could I blame him, I have just learnt to control any species that I am linked with, and we don't know if I could control a reverse Vampire yet, I would be running for the hills. 

  'We have to do it, let them exploit my abilities, if it helps us get out freedom and stops us being hunted by these fascists then lets do it' I said, I'd made up my mind, if it helped everyone in the long run, then I had to do it, what's my freedom compared to everyone else that isn't a pure blood vampire?

 'You don't know what you're saying Eliza, you don't know where they will stop, even if we managed to stop the pure bloods, do you really think they will stop at that, they'll use you against your own kind'Lucern exclaimed

 'What do you mean against my own kind, they can't do anything to me that I don't want to do, I can control them' I said arrogantly. 

  'Fine, whatever you say, you're putting yourself in danger by exposing your abilities like this, but fine, come on then'
