Chapter Seven

 'Please, it's impossible' I pleaded with Lucern.

  'Is it?' 

  'Of course it is' I hissed

  'Nothing is impossible Elizabeth' 

I snorted, what he was telling me couldn't be true, yeah I had ideas but that's only because my imagination can run away from me sometimes.

    Stop making excuses, you know what he is, you know what that girl was and you know what you are.

 'Vampire' I whispered out load, making myself gasp.

 'Well-done' he said smiling, revealing slightly extended canines. 

  'Oh my God'  I have been here less than a day, and already I find out about...Vampires! 'This isn't some sick joke that you play on the new kid, is it?'

  'NO' he shouted in exasperation 'Can you stop trying to think of everything in a rational way?! Sometimes things aren't rational, sometimes things are so improbable that you think they're impossible, well look around sweetheart because your world is turning upside down' He finished his speech panting and looking at me fiercely.

  'Bit of a cheesy speech' I said, half attempting to smile.

  'Shut up' he said smiling back.

  'So, am I...'

 'I'm not sure what you are yet' he replied

  'What do you mean you're not sure?' I exclaimed 'Even now I'm looking at that vein in your neck and thinking...' I stopped myself, I wasn't ready to admit to him that I wanted his blood, that I wanted blood at all.

  'What I mean is I am to picking up anything specific, it's more like a jumble of things' 

  'So, I could be anything?! But what else is there?' I exclaimed

   'Yes, you could be anything, and there is so much more than you know, so much more than vampires live in our community, there are Pixies, elf's, fairies, were wolves, shape shifters..'

  'Oh my god, just stop' I said laughing, if what Lucern was saying was true, then this place was enchanted, my mind wanted me to think he was lying, but my body knew, my subconscious knew, that he was telling the truth. 

   'It's amazing right?' 

   'Yes' I said simply, closing my eyes and thinking about how in London my world was normal, even though I never felt normal. Now I knew, I knew the truth.

   'Come on' He ordered standing up and reaching his hand out to me, I put my hand in his and let him pull me up.

  'Where are we going?' I asked.

  'To help you find out what you are' 

 You know what you are, a vampire, don't worry Elizabeth, it's natural!

He took me to his car, it was the coolest car ever! A mint green 1970 VW beetle.

'Nice' I said, smiling at him approvingly.

'It was a steal, only cost me 5 grand, it was so cheap because I had to restore a lot of the car myself, it was in shit condition'

 'Cool' I replied, I didn't know much about cars, all I knew was that his car was hot.

 We drove the 30 minutes back to the village, and stopped near the clearing we were in last night. I unplugged my seat belt and opened the door, it screeched in protest when It opened. He was suddenly in front of me and pulled me out of the car.

 'Nice' I repeated.

We walked through the dirt track with trees looming on either side. It seemed less threatening in the day.

  Are you sure it isn't the total hottie standing next to you?

Be quiet it has nothing to do with Lucern, it is clearly because it is daytime and it is less threatening than in the dark, I am normal(ish) and any normal person has a fear of the dark, of the unknown. 

  'Have you even listened to a word iv'e been saying Elizabeth?' Lucern asked looking at me with an amused expression on his gorgeous face.

 'Sorry, I was..uh..daydreaming' I said blushing.

 'I was saying, why have you not asked why I am walking around in the sun light?' 

 'I just assumed the rumours were wrong, or you had a special ring like in Vampire Diaries' I said smirking.

 He burst into laughter 'Damon Salvatore has nothing on me' he said still laughing 'But no, the rumours are true, but you see I am not a...conventional vampire...I am a rare sub species of vampire, which is why you lust after my blood'

 'Carry on'

 'I am what they call a 'reverse Vampire' I am sustained by the chlorophyll in plants, I am made stronger by daylight, making me stronger than most vampires, but it also makes my blood taste better than any human'

 'That's amazing' I said in awe 'But...Doesn't sound as bad ass as Damon' I said laughing

'Oh shut up' He said taking my hand in his, 'Let's see what you are' 

He picked up the pace, he was fast and soon the trees began to blur, I was keeping up with him...This. Was.Insane.

We were in the clearing in a matter of seconds. There was a crowd of teenagers, they turned as we got there. As if they expected us.
