Rain pours down the windows of our apartment as I make two cups of hot chocolate. I shiver as the apartment slowly warms. The heating finally started working. I pick up one of the cups in my good hand and call the Doctor to help me.

"Sweetie, can you help carry these?"

"Yeah, one second!" says the Doctor as he walks into the kitchen.

"Thanks."

"It's no problem, sweetie. In a month we can see about getting that off, hey?" he says, poking my cast.

"I can't wait," I grin. "Let's go watch a movie!"

"Allons-y!"

We enter the living room and Vanessa is sitting in the middle of the couch, beaming. Her brown hair is in tiny pigtails tied with red elastics to match her dress.

"What movie should we watch?" I ask.

"Well, I rented Ice Age, and I think she'll like that," said the Doctor.

"CARS!!" screamed Vanessa. Cars is her favourite movie. She loves playing with toy cars and making "traffic jams" by throwing them all in a pile on the floor.

"Cars, again?" I laugh. We must have seen Cars a million times.

"Yes!!! Vroom, vroom!!" said Vanessa.

We laugh and I set up the movie. We sit down beside Vanessa and watch Cars, again.

About halfway through, Vanessa starts falling asleep. The Doctor carries her to bed as I pause the movie and turn off the TV.

"What do you want to do now?" I whisper.

"Monopoly?" he suggests.

"Winner gets bragging rights?" I say as he pulls out Monopoly.

"You're on," he challenges.

"Pretty confident for someone who lost the last three matches," I giggle.

"Shut up, I'm gonna win this time."

"Oh really? We'll see about that."

One hour later, I am falling into bankruptcy fast. I roll the dice and land on another of the Doctor's hotels. I shake my head as I hand over the last of my cash.

The Doctor cackles as I cry out "Noooo!" just like a cartoon villain. All whispers, of course.

I pout as the Doctor counts his final total arrogantly.

"Nine thousand six hundred and fifty three dollars," he says, dragging it out, "to zero."

"Shut up," I pout, crossing my arms.

"Aww, is somebody a sore loser?" the Doctor gloats.

"You're never going to let me forget the one time I lost, are you,"

"Nope," the Doctor grins and starts putting away the game. "Now what? Do you have another game I could win?"

I take a sip of my hot chocolate and shrug.

"Aw, afraid of losing again? It's okay, Rose Tyler, nobody bests the king,"

"...except the queen," I giggle, after winning 27 rounds of Uno.

"Whatever, Uno is a dumb game anyway," he says.

"Just because you're terrible at it, doesn't mean it's not a good game," I laugh.

"Yes it does," the Doctor pouts. "Anyway, you cheated."

"I did not!"

"Yeah, you distracted me! I was off my game!" he complains.

I snort.

"You did! You're very distracting when you're winning, Rose Tyler. Your smile practically blinds me!"

Impulsively, I lean over and kiss him. He doesn't kiss back, so I pull away.

"Doctor?" I frown.

He leans over to kiss me, gently pushing me down onto the cushions. All I feel is his lips on mine, like fireworks, his hands in my hair. I pull him closer and closer until he is practically lying on top of me. We keep kissing until my lungs scream for air. The Doctor seems to remember that I am human and removes his lips from mine to go down to my neck.

"Mm, Doctor," I moan, needing to talk to him but not wanting him to stop.

"Doctor," I say firmly, and he stops.

"What's wrong, Rose?" he says, worry clear on his face.

"Nothing, actually, everything makes so much sense with you, which is funny because everything makes a lot less sense, or, at least, it should, but, um, there's something I need to say. I love you and I love being with you and I love our daughter and I love adventures and I love domestic life with you, even though you probably hate it but you're good at it, you've even started cooking..." I realize I'm rambling at this point and let my sentence trail off.

"The thing is, I love you, Doctor. Lets get married."

"Rose," laughs the Doctor, "we are getting married. I proposed to you, remember? And I got you this ring?" he holds my hand up and shows me the ring.

"I know, I know," I say, dismissing him. "Let's get married right now."

"Now? Rose, are you sure?"
he says, concerned.

"I mean, this week. I want to marry you this week." I say firmly.

"Rose, maybe we should sleep on this decision, revisit it in the morning? I thought we were planning for our wedding months away, and I thought you didn't want to have this cast."

"No. This week, Doctor, please. Screw the cast. I want to marry you, to be your wife. If you still want me to be," I say, pleading, hoping.

"Rose, of course I still want you to be my wife! I love you more than anything. We can get married this week, if you want."

"Yes! Thank you, Doctor!" I say, before kissing him.

"Your mother is going to have a fit," he mumbles into my mouth.
