"I need 50 cc's of stuffing stat!" You yelled to your best friend Leorio.
The two of you were currently playing doctors, and right now you were fixing up one of you old ripped teddy bears.

"Dr. Paladiknight we're losing him!" You dramatically screamed
"Where's the stuffing I asked for?! He's going to die if I don't get it now!"

"Dr. (L/n) I got it right here!" Leorio yelled

He handed you the stuffing and you sewed up the side of the bear.
"Wooh well we stopped the bleeding, but he's going to need a lot of rest if he wants to heal faster" you said as you placed the bear on a little bed in the clubhouse the two of you made in your backyard.

"Good work doctor, the patient should be ok real soon!" You said happily

"That's great! Hey (y/n)?"

"Yeah"

"When we're older, lets be real doctors!"

"Of course!"

"Promise?"

"Promise"

~Now

"Dr. (L/n) there was just a car accident on highway 80, 4 teenagers , one dead, 2 with severe spinal injures, and one with internal bleeding, and broken legs! We need you in emergency care now!"

You ran down the hall, and with your team of doctors, and started on saving the patients.

"Scalpel!"

"Stitches!"

"Cloth!"

This wasn't anything like the games you played when you were a kid. This was a life or death situation, and it all depended on how quick you were.

It had been 4 hours already, and you had just finished patching up the teenager with the two broken legs. You put the three in the infirmary, and all you could do now was wait until they woke up.

"Dr. (L/n) amazing work as usual!"
Your head nurse told you

"Ah thanks Marie, but you guys helped a lot too, thank you"

"Of course Dr. (L/n)!"

"I'm going home, see you tomorrow!"

"Oh wait one more thing!"

"Yeah?"

"A couple new hires are coming in tomorrow, so we won't be so short staffed anymore!"

"Really?! That's great news! I can't wait to meet them!"

"Yep, we'll goodnight (y/n)!"

"See you later Marie!"

~Time skip to the Next Morning~

"Good morning Doctor!"

"Good morning Marie!"

"Oh (y/n)! The 3 teenagers all woke up, and they are going to be ok once they rest a bit more"

"Thats great news!"

"It sure is! Also, the new hires are in the office! Want to meet them?"

"Of course I do!

"Let's go to the office then!"

The two of you walked down the long hallway until you reached the main office and saw 3 people sitting in the waiting chairs.

"Are you 3 the new hires?" You asked

"Yes" they simultaneously said

"Ok, we'll tell me your name, and what area of medicine you specialize in" you asked

"How about you go first" you said pointing to a girl with short brown hair

"I'm Ariana Castro, and I specialize in veterinary medicine"

"Yay a vet! Wonderful! You next!"
A girl with long ash blonde hair spoke up

"I'm KayCee Luckett, and I specialize in emergency care"

"Awesome so do I!" You said

"And lastly you!" You said pointing to a man with short black hair, and glasses. He was definitely attractive, and looked oddly familiar to you, but you just couldn't place where you had seen him before.

"I'm Leorio Paladiknight, and I specialize in the use and development of prescription drugs!"

Leorio, that was it! That was the name of your best friend growing up! But it couldn't be the same guy, he moved when you were both 13.

"Leorio, that was the name of my childhood friend growing up" you laughed at the memories of the two of you wanting to grow up and be doctors, and now you were living that dream.

"Oh was it? Well what's your name?" Leorio asked

"I'm (y/n) (l/n) and I specialize in emergency care"

"Wait wait wait (y/n)?! It is you! I knew it when you walked in! I can't believe you became a doctor too!"

"Well we did promise each other didn't we?"

"Yeah, we did, I can't believe that even after 15 years you still remember that!"

"How could I forget my best friend?"

"This is awesome (y/n)!"

"KayCee, Ariana, could you girls come with me? I want to show you around the hospital!" Marie said as the 2 girls stood up and followed her out of the office.
Now it was just you and Leorio, and you both had a lot of catching up to do.

"Hey (y/n), before we get to caught up in conversation can I tell you something?"

"You can tell me anything Leorio!"

"I couldn't say it to you when I was 13, I just didn't know how to, and everyday since then I've regretted it" he paused, and you motioned for him to continue.

"I love you" he said as he looked for your reaction
"Ever since we were kids, you were the only girl I've ever loved" Leorio confessed

"Things weren't as fun after you left, it's like when you moved, a piece of myself went with you and I missed you everyday. I don't think a day went by without me thinking about you Leorio"

"So does that mean you love me too?" Leorio asked with hope in his voice

"Yeah, it does, I love you Leorio"
He grabbed your hands and pulled you in to his arms.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to hold you like this for"
He said. Then he lovingly tilted your chin, and passionately kissed your lips making up for all the lost years between the two of you.

You broke the kiss and the two of you sat in a comfortable silence until Leorio spoke up.

"(Y/n) will you love me forever?"

"Of course!"

"Promise?"

"Promise"
