Chapter One-Hello Peace...Or not.

"Bye Mom!" I yelled as I boarded the plane. We had already said our goodbyes that morning.

I was extremely excited to be going to London for the summer. I was 17 years old and it was the summer before my senior year in high school. I always had really good grades, so I had gotten an offer to go to a beginners culinary school, just for the summer. Nine and a half hours on a plane and I would be there.

"Please turn off all electronics for the take-off. Also, if you would notice, the fasten seatbelt sign is on, so we ask that you all put your seatbelts on." I put my white iPhone into airplane mode and clicked my seatbelt on.

After the plane took off, I ordered a drink and shortly after, passed out. I woke up having to piss extremely bad, so I got up and walked to the restroom. After I pissed, I went back to my seat and passed out again.

I woke up to somebody nudging my shoulder. "Ma'am? Ma'am? Ma'am? The plane has landed now." I stood up and grabbed my carry-on. I went into the airport and the first thing I did was go to an ATM and switch my American money for UK money. After that, I walked and got my luggage. I walked outside and sighed happily at my unfamiliar surroundings. I definitly need a break from everybody and everything I knew.

I called a taxi and thought while I was driven to my apartment that I would be staying at for the summer. Summer break was around three months. It would be amazing. My classes at the university here didn't start till Monday, and today was Wednesday. I decided that I would unpack and settle down tonight, then go shopping and roam around the city tomorrow. On Friday, I would probably go visit my boyfriend. Yeah, my boyfriend of two years moved here a few months ago. That was a plus.

When the taxi stopped, I paid the cabbie and got my stuff out of the trunk. I walked up the stairs and with much difficulty unlocked the door. I walked in and gasped. It was fairly large and had a great view of outside London. I smiled and plopped down on the black leather couch. I got my clothes and stuff unpacked and made myself some Ramen. Delicious and healthy dinner, I know.

I decided to go to bed early because I was all messed up from the time zones.

When I woke up, it was eleven in the morning. I got out of my comfy bed and took a shower. Once I got ready, I grabbed my purse and my phone. I walked out of my apartment and locked the door behind me.

I needed coffee. Knowing this, I asked a nearby person where the closest Starbucks was and listened to their answer, loving the accent.

"Thank you." I said while walking away.

I walked to Starbucks, taking my time. I loved how peaceful it was here. I walked into the small coffee shop and ordered. I paid for my Caramel Ribbon Crunch frap and and waited. When the lady making the coffee called my name, I walked to the counter and picked it up, taking a drink out of the sweet deliciousness. "Thank you. Have a nice day." I said

As I got to the door, five teenage boys with their hoods up were heading for it from the outside, laughing and messing around. The first boy opened the door, and I walked out, thinking he was holding it open for me. Yeah... He wasn't. We both went for the door at the same time, crushing my cup of heaven in between us.

"Fuck." We both mumbled at the same time. I leaned down to pick up my empty cup off the floor, and he did too. I picked up the lid, but before I could grab the cup, his hand shot out and grabbed it. I looked up to tell him that I could get it myself, I mean c'mon the douche spilled my coffee on the both of us. When my eyes met his, they widened. I was staring into the electric blue eyes of none other than Niall Horan, popstar and 1/5 of One Direction.
