Thinking About It.

October 1, 1849. Time: 11:14 pm.

"it's New Orleans." Lexi said as she looked over the bow. Everyone, the villagers, the crew members, the royals, everyone raced to the deck to see the city lights in the distance. The excitement on the ship was uncontrollable. People were suddenly cheering and hugging one another. Thrilled to be getting off this cursed, condemned vessel. "Prepare to lower the anchor!" Elijah called out to his crew as he walked down to meet them. The mermaids on the side of the ship started to descent back into the ocean as they reached port, but they all made a sort of sound, like one of a dolphin perhaps? expect it made you feel it, not just hear it, made you feel the joy in the creatures. it was indeed a lovely sound. "drop anchor." Finn said from his quarters. and the cheers came once more. Selena and Caroline were among the villagers when they started exiting the ship and the girls realized that there was already people waiting at the docks for the Mikaelsons arrival. 8 of them in total, 4 on each side of the companionway. they were all males, they had one of their hands extended for the people walking down the ladder for them to take. Selena was going to place her hand in one of their's when she heard the voice of Rebekah behind her. "i wouldn't do that if i were you. they're all vampires, and while they've been compelled to work for us, they haven't been told not to tear off your wrist yet." she said walking passed them. Selena quickly placed her hand back down by her side. the girls stepped onto the docks and was in utter shock and amazement. there was people everywhere and music and shops and laughter! Caroline turned to Selena with her mouth to the ground. "if i'm dreaming, don't wake me up.." Selena said as the girls burst into laughs and giggles of their own. Not in a million years did they think that they would ever be in a place such as this. "mmm! smell the Jasmines in the air!" Harry said as he came off the ship and walked over to the girls. "this is amazing." Caroline remarked. "oh this is nothing, wait till you see the art galleries and theatres here. It's brilliant." he said. He was holding "little Harry", the little village boy. in his arms. He was asleep. "Thank goodness we're on dry land, but where do we go from here?" Selena asked. The sound of shoes hitting the wood that made up the docks echoed behind them. "We need to find somewhere to sleep for tonight." Elijah said. "You think we can maybe find a good hotel?" Selena asked. "Never. But we won't have too, we own a plantation here." - The walk to the plantation wasn't very far, before they knew it, they seen a large white house in front of them. Selena stopped for a second to take in the beauty of it. She didn't think she would see a house bigger then the castle back in London, but this one took the cake. To say it was enormous would be a understatement, it was massive. At first sight you could see hundreds upon hundreds of windows. She turn around to say something to Harry, but then she noticed that only the Salvatore's, a few villagers  and the rest of the girls on the ship were making their way to the house. "where are the rest of the villagers?" she asked. "they ran as soon as the ship docked." Niklaus said walking pass her. "but why? they have no where to go and no food to eat." she said. "this is a plantation owned by vampires, i would run too." he said, with bitterness in his voice. The inside of the house was just as glamorous as the outside. chandeliers, made of pure glass, hung everywhere. The house resemble the castle, with the pianos and clean white furniture, but it had a different vibe to it. The way to describe it would be that it was lighter, more relaxed then eerie. Although it was more relaxed inside of the house, the people that entered it were the complete opposite. Between Selena and Zayn, Zayn and his brothers, Caroline and Rebekah and Jenna and Elijah, the tension in the air was very noticeable. It was the mother of the twin boys from the village that broke the silence. "excusez-moi, but is there a place for us to sleep tonight?" she asked. "Of course." Elijah said. "The rest of you can go find whatever rooms you like to sleep in." He said before leaving with the woman and children. "Come on ladies, let's go find your rooms." Bonnie said. She walked up the staircase, with Selena, Caroline and Lexi in tow. "Okay, everyone's thinking it, i'm just saying it, why is there so much tension down there?" Lexi asked. Caroline was the first to answer. "Rebekah hates me, maybe not as much as she did but it's still there."
