The Ball (Part l l)

Harry answered out of breath but calmly "Werewolve...". Selena stopped banging on the doors suddenly, shocked, but with a trembling breath "....what...?" She asked in a voice just above a whisper. "Selena, I'm so sorry I put you in this situation, but you need to get their attention now!" Harry told her as the dogs started to appear out of the shadows. "AHHH! Someone Please Help Us!!" She yelled as she started to bang on the doors again. Back inside the castle Zayn finally arrived to the ball. "Zayn, The party's almost over, why are you so late?" His brother Damon asked him. "Oh, I didn't realize it was so late, that's all." Zayn told him. Damon narrowed his gray eyes at him, knowing that his little brother was lying. Zayn knew that he could tell so he walked away from him. "Louis!" He said, getting away from Damon. "Oh, hi Zayn. I thought you weren't coming, What took you so long?" He asked. he was talking with the maid Anna when his brother came up, she walked away when she seen him. "Oh, time got away from me, is all. What I miss?" He asked. "Nothing yet, but I think you arrived just In time. Look." Louis said pointing to where his brothers stood with the Mikaelsons and lady Caroline. "Huh. Wonder what they're talking about..." Zayn said. "I Dont know, but I think we're about to find out." Louis answered, as the Salvatore's and Mikaelsons made their way over to them. "Louis, Zayn, you have to stick with us till the party's over." Stefan said to them. "What? Why? What's going on?" Louis asked. "The Oni's back." Nik said clearly upset. "What?" Zayn asked. Elijah was beginning to explain what was going on and what Nik and Caroline seen when suddenly there was a scream. A voice came from somewhere that echoed in the castle, and it was getting closer, and closer.. Everyone turned to see Jenna come flying across the room. She hit the wall and fell into one of the tables. They look to see where she came from and that's when they all seen it. Just like Caroline described, a shadow of pitch-black smoke. It was the Oni. Like Caroline described, you could make out some-what of the shape of a person, but the only thing you could really see was the two red dots piercing out at the room. Those eyes. As always it was in a dark doorway, but then it started to move, like it was trying to leave the crowded room. But this time it wasn't in a hallway by itself with a helpless girl. It was in a room full of supernatural creatures. And when it moved, even though it was only half an inch and would have been invisible to human eyes, the whole room Vamped-Out. And when I say vamped-out I mean the whole room Vamped-Out. Lexi, Rose, Elena, the Salvatore's, the Mikaelsons and all the other 200 guests flipped their 'behave nicely' switch to 'predators' which in reality was what they were. No matter what they could say, no matter how nice they were, they were predators. They killed for a living, so having to kill something that could bring harm to them, well, that was no problem. The caterers, the musicians, even the old lady on stage singing opera started hissing, showing fangs and dark-red bloodshot eyes. When everyone in the room started hissing and screeching together it made a piercing sound to one's ears. And everyone was doing it, but the Mikaelsons. They, being the highest ranking vampires in world, make the sound of a lion roaring in a battle. And it was loud. Caroline, who was to the side of the room, away from the Oni, had to cover ears for a moment. Bonnie, who Caroline had not seen till now, walked over to her. "Are you okay?" She asked her. Caroline nodded yes. "W-What's happening?" She asked. Bonnie, who was dressed absolutely beautiful tonight in her dark red gown, helped her to stand up. With the piercing sounds echoing through the room, the Oni itself started to screech with pain. And then it started to run towards to exit doors. But Bonnie just then did something that shut all the doors leading to the outside. Locking the Oni in the room full of the powerful supernatural. "You got nowhere to run." Nik said, circling the thing so it was forced into the center of the room. Surrounded by the vampires. "And now...you're going to die." Nik said as the room bursted with mocking laughter at the Oni. Caroline gasped. Scared, she asked "What are they laughing?"

"An Oni is a creature made up of magic, you have to be able to get inside it's head and confuse it. Plus they're vampires, they love torture." Bonnie told her. "I hope Selena is okay, I Don't know where she is!" She said like a little girl who lost her mother in a big store. "No, Don't cry. We'll find her, she was with......wait a minute...... NIK! Bonnie called out. He turned to her. "Where is Harry....?" She asked. Then that smug look he had while taunting the Oni turned into pure fear. He turned around searching the crowd for him. Elijah and Rebekah did as well. They ran through the crowd looking for their little brother. "HARRY!!!" Each of them screamed. Then finally, Nik spotted Selena outside the patio doors, she was banging on them but no sound was being made. He walked over to her and tried to open them and of course, they wouldn't come. Klaus then knew that it was magic that had it shut. "Elijah!" He called out as he and Bekah appeared. She tried to opened them as well "it's magic." She figured out. "Really? Cause I didn't already know that!" Nik said with sarcasm and anger written in his voice. "Don't get upset with me, I didn't lock the bloody thing!" Rebekah yelled. "Quiet!" Elijah said. "Selena, can you hear me?" Elijah asked though the patio doors. She nodded. "We will get these doors open for you, but I need you to tell me, where is Harry?" He asked. She quickly turned around, then the three Mikaelsons saw it for themselves. Harry was standing in the center of the garden, fighting off what looked like a dozen werewolves by himself. "Oh, you're kidding me." Was all Elijah could say. Klaus then ran off towards bonnie who was still, like the other in the castle, keeping the oni in the center of the room. "Bonnie, I need you to unlock the patio doors." Nik said when he reached her. "What are you talking about? I didn't lock the patio doors." She told him. "Yes you did. When you-" he stopped when he remembered only seeing her lock the two doors that led out into the hallways, not the patio doors. Those doors were already closed. He then knew it was the Oni that locked out his brother and threw him to the wolves, literally. "Open the front door, unlock it." He said walking towards the foyer. "What? Nik. Nik! I can't open the door, are you crazy? I open it and the oni gets away...again!" She told him. "My little brother is out there, I Dont give a damn who gets away. Unlock it, Now!" He told her. Oh well. She thought. It's not my castle. She raised her hand, whisper a spell and then it came unlocked. "Please help us!" Selena said to Elijah though the doors. "I need you to take a deep breath and stay calm." He told her in a soothing voice. "We're going to get the door unlock." He said although it didn't look that way. Bonnie was attempting a counter spell on the doors but it kept fizzing out. Selena took a deep breath, like Elijah told her too, and calmed a little. Enough to be able to speak without crying hysterical. "Harry?" Was all she could say, she didn't want to turned around for fear of his death. "I'm fine love. Just..stay turned that way, okay?" He told her. But he wasn't fine, he wasn't fine at all. He was covered in blood, his jacket completely torn. And because he hadn't mastered all his powers yet, a werewolf bite to him meant death. They were everywhere, the wolves. Everywhere and nowhere all at once. They could run and hide in the shadows just as fast as they could jump out and attack. He was fighting two of them when one jumped out at him with a mouth drawn back showing teeth. He turned to knock it out of the way just before it bit him, but that left the other two he was fighting open to attack him and they did. As he was turning back towards them, they were already jumping up to attack. They knocked him down and were able to pin him to the ground. They were werewolves so holding down a vampire, even an old strong one like Harry, wasn't hard for them. And boy, were they mad. The one at the top was able to keep him down while still free to move his head, and he was turning it towards Harry's neck. Unlike vampires, werewolves didn't necessarily need blood to survive, but they did really love bloodshed. After all, they were predators too. It had it's teeth ready to sink into Harry beautiful white neck, when something actually snapped it's neck instead. Harry was able to push the other one off and kill it. By the time he was to able to stand up straight Nik had already killed the rest. "Oh Nik! You have no idea how glad I am to see..." Harry stopped when he seen the angry look on his brother's face. Then he remembered his brother's earlier words about staying close to him for tonight. He lowered his head. "......Nik, I'm-"
