Chapter 17

Emma's POV

I looked down at my hand on Killian's and I pulled it away he was my boss. We got to Milah's house and Olivia hops out of the car quickly and a first Killian and I dont know why, but then the gate opened.

"So umm Swan, did you bring all you needed back with you?" Killian asks breaking the silence.

"Yeah. I got all I needed." I tell him.

"Awesome." He says.

So he knew my hand was on his and without Olivia in the car things got weird fast. Then a huge dog came up the car and started barking at us.

"He doesnt bite." Olivia says grabbing the dogs collar.

"Olivia that a huge ass dog." Killian tells her.

"Yeah I know mom hated him." She tells us.

"Okay how about we get your stuff." I tell her.

"Yeah come on." She says.

Killian stopped me before we went into the house.

"Now we both will see what Milah did with all the money I gave her that was meant for our daughter." He says to me.

"Okay we both know thats not why you stopped me. Whats the matter?" I ask.

"Okay. Look Emma, do you think Im going to mess up?" He asks.

"Going to mess up what?" I question.

"Olivia. Maybe I should let someone else take her." He says.

"Killian your daughter has been through so much pain and sadness. She has the same look I did when I was her age. I was alone my family I guess didnt want me, I was in and out bad homes. Everyone in everyone home I've been in has that look. You daughter has had a family her whole life, but with Milah and you jackass friend treating her like crap and you never being there she probably feels like how I used to." I tell him.

"What changed for you?" He asks.

"When I met Mary-Margaret. As long I we were together things were easier. She was my light that made everything bad go away for awhile. I know things will be fine because that girl as has found her light Killian." I say.

"Well what or who is her light?" He asks.

"You." I tell him.

"Emma she went to you for help it cant be me." He says.

"Yes she went to me for help, but before that and durning that and now after that. She talks about you all the time. I can tell you make her feel better. Killian she is your daughter and she loves you." I tell him.

He just looked at me and little by little it would seem our lips were about to meet, but just as the were he pulled away and walked inside. Emma stop being a fool this man doesnt and will never feel the same.
