Chapter 27

Oh My God!

In that moment Ethan walked into my house. I spin around to see him.

"Hey babe what's wrong?" he asks me a little worried. I spin back around and my mum was gone. Great! I look back to Ethan.

"Nothing's wrong. I just had a visit from my mum" I said a little shaky. He gives me that look like 'I know your lying' but he decides not to push me on it.

"OK do you mind if I take a shower before lunch?" he asks.

"Yeah go ahead. I'm going to jump to Claire's and I will be back over and I will put the the pizza in oven" I give him a small smile. He gives me a kiss and heads upstairs. I run outside and run to Claire's house.

When I arrive I bang on Claire's door, when she finally opens it I barge in.

"Jordy what the hell is going on?" she asks. I look at her not able to speak.
"JORDY!" she yells at me.

"I'm.... Pregnant" I said really quietly. Claire's mouth drops open. My whole body starts to shake. This can't be happening.
"Can you run to the shop and get me a pregnancy test?" I ask stuttering every word.

"Wait...hold up! Your pregnant! Oh god Jordy I'm so happy for you!" she reaches to give me a hug but I push her away.

"Claire please can you go and get me a test"

"Wait I have a spare one" she starts to walk upstairs and I follow her.

"Wait how have you got a spare one?" I ask.

"It was a false alarm a few weeks ago" shes acting like it's nothing.

"Claire are you kidding me right now. Why didn't you.... " she cuts me off.

"Don't start Jordy. It was a false alarm" God I can never get her into trouble. We reach the bathroom and she hands me the stick. She walks outside and I lock the door and I do my business.

When I'm finished I walk outside into the hall waiting on the result, we have to wait 2 minutes.

"So what makes you think that your pregnant?" Claire asks me.

"I got a visit from my mum and she told me. God knows how she knows" I said I'm so nervous.
"She said I'm about 4 weeks"

"Jordy this can be good thing. A mini you it could have powers like you. Oh my god it could be a shield"

"That's what I'm worried about. The last thing I want is my child to be in danger"

"I'm sure it won't be in danger with 2 awesome parents there to protect it. What did Ethan say when you told him?" I look to the ground. I don't know what to say now.
"You haven't told him have you?" I still look to the ground. Then Claire slaps me over the head.

"Ow Claire! What the hell!" I yell at her.

"Get your ass over there and tell him. You can't keep it a secret" she yells back.

"I'm not. I just wanted it to be official first" and in that moment I look at my watch. It's been 2 minutes. I hand the test to Claire.

"What does it say. I can't look" my whole body is shaking. She looks at it and a small smile appears on her face.

"Well it's official. Your pregnant." she said and showed me the test. I stare at the 2 red lines and I'm speechless.

Eventually I start to cry and a smile. I look over to Claire who is also tearing up.

"I'm pregnant" I whisper and I start to laugh and cry at the same time. Claire gives me a hug.

"I'm so happy for you. Your going to make a great mum." we sit there hugging for a few minutes and finally she pulls away.

"Now it's time for you to tell Ethan" she said softly. I nod at her. I don't know how he is going to react I pray that he will be OK with it. I start to walk downstairs, I give Claire one last hug then I'm out the door still holding the test.

Please let him be OK with it.
