Johns POV Memphis comes into the room acting like nothing happened. "You ok?" I ask. Knowing she's probably gonna smack me for asking. Instead, she gives me a quick hug. "Thanks." She says. Ummmm what do I do?! Do I hug her back, do I just stand there. I think I'm gonna hug her back. "Alright, break it up you two. Memphis still has training to do." Commander says like she didn't just almost die. "Son of a bitch, commander." Says Fred I guess acting like he had our backs. "You shouldn't have even let them touch each other." Never mind. Commander rolls his eyes and starts up a simulation. "118 you'll be training to fight permethian, covenant, and deal with losing someone. Fred controls the training, so I hope he doesn't do anything stupid.
Memphis's POV I literally just got attacked by a covenant and now I have to do MORE TRAINING! I have to fight permethian, covenant, and deal with losing a teammate. Wait, WHAT THE FUCK! I have to deal with losing someone. I'm going to fail. I walk into the training room. A permethian pops up and it starts charging up its gun. I wait until the gun is almost fully charged and I shoot the gun, and the permethian explodes. That was easy. The covenant comes in and I hide. I wait 'till it passes where I was and I jump out and stab it in the back of the neck, it falls dead.

"Alright Memphis, time to deal with loss. You won't be able to do anything. It'll just happen." Fred says. I roll my eyes and put my helmet back on, signaling I'm ready. The simulation starts and I'm in the middle of a war. I see John shooting at someone and I try to help,but I can't. I watch the covenant shoot John once, and he falls to the ground. I run over to him glad no one can see that I'm crying. He sits up like he was going to kiss me, but he extended his arm and kills a permethian behind me. Then he was gone.
Johns POV I literally watch myself die. It was scary. I go to open the door to let Memphis know that I'm alright, but commander grabs my arm. "Wait until the simulation fades, John." I stand still waiting for it to fully fade. I find out what I'm going to do. I'm going to kiss her, to let her know that won't ever happen. It fades and I open the door. Memphis runs to me and gives me a hug. I run my gloved finger through her long red hair. She lets go and smiles. I lift my helmet up and kiss her. She pushes me off her and I pull my helmet down. "Oh, was I not supposed to do that." I say feeling really bad right now. She smiles. "If if you want to try again you can." She says and closes her eyes. I kiss her again and she wraps her arms around my neck. I run my fingers through her hair. She lets go and laughs. I pull my helmet down and I look over and I see Fred with his mouth wide open, Lin posting what I guess was a video of me and Memphis, and Johnson smiling. I start to laugh too. "John! We agreed I would be the first to kiss a girl first!" Fred yells. "Deals off, Fred. You can kiss Lin now if you want." He scowls me and walks away. Lin follows him. And Johnson looks at me and Memphis. "Take care of each other. And don't go too far." Johnson says joke fully. "Commander! We're twelve!" Memphis yells disgusted. I laugh and grab Memphis by the waist. "I'll take care of her." "Me too. I'll make sure he doesn't get into anymore fights." "And I'll never leave you." I say smiling. Memphis smiles back. Well, I have a girlfriend and a partner. She's not an ass hole after all.
