John's POV I gun the gas and me and Memphis ride away from base. Something starts shooting at the bike and Memphis shoots back. Shooting didn't do anything and the bike crashed. I hear the covenant walk away and I get up. My shield is cracked and I look around for Memphis. She's on the ground holding her leg. I run over and a piece of metal that came off the bike was stuck to her pant leg and cutting into her. I grabbed it and took it off her pants. "Ow!" "Sorry." I help her up and we walk to an abandoned hospital. I grab a bandage and wrap it around her leg. "Ow." She says under her breath. "Sorry, I'm not good with this kind of stuff." "It's ok." I smile and help her up. "Let's find the others." I pull out my pistol and so does she. We round the corner and hear footsteps. I look and it's Rachel and Daryl. "Oh my god I'm so happy you guys are ok. I saw the bike and freaked out." "We're, semi ok." I say looking at Memphis. "Oh my god, I'm gonna kill both of you when we save our planet!" "Let's get back to the saving." Daryl said and we started walking. We hardly even make it two steps before someone starts shooting at us. Memphis takes shelter behind a wall and so do I and we start shooting. Daryl gets shot in the arm and Rachel starts to freak out. "Daryl's fine! My god." Memphis yells behind me and we kill all the covenant in that area. I walk up to a covenant and look at its pistol. I put my pistol in its holster and take the covenant's pistol. It grabs my throat and gets up. "I'm not dead yet solider. Get 'em." The other covenant get up and grab everyone. I kick the "leader" of the covenant that was holding me. "You're not getting out of this that easy." He tightens his grip on my throat. "John!" "Shut up young one." I grabbed my pistol out of its holster and shoot the alien holding Memphis and it falls dead. "Why you little." I shoot the others and they fall dead too. My vision starts blurring and I shoot the covenant holding me in the hand. He drops me and runs away. I hit the ground and cough. "John, John!" Memphis kneels down in front of me. "I'm okay." I say standing up. Memphis hugs me and looks behind me. "John look out!" She says and I feel a pain in my arm. I pull it out and it's a dart. My vision blurs and I lean up against a wall behind me. "John are you okay?" I hear Daryl ask and I nod my head no and they walk over. I cough and it went black.
Memphis's POV John walks up to one of the covenant we killed and takes its pistol. It grabs him by the throat and gets up. "I'm not dead yet soldier. Get 'em." A covenant gets up and grabs me, Daryl, and Rachel. I try to get the covenant to lose its grip on me but it just tightens. John kicks the covenant holding him. "You're not getting out that easy." "John!" I scream. "Shut up young one." I try to break free again but it doesn't work. John pulls out his pistol and fires. I duck out of the way and the bullet hits the one holding me and it falls dead. John does the same to Rachel and Daryl. John shoots the other in the hand and it runs away. John hits the ground and coughs. I run over to him calling his name. "I'm okay." He says standing up. I give him a hug and see someone behind the wall. It wasn't a covenant though, it was a regular person. He had a dart blower, straw thing. "John look out!" I yell but it's too late. He pulls it out of his arm and leans up against the wall. "John are you okay?" Daryl asks. He nods his head no and they start to walk over. He coughs and his head hits the wall. "John?" I shake him and he doesn't answer. I look back behind the wall and the man walks up. I point my gun at his head. He keeps walking until his forehead touches the barrel. I look down at his hand and he had a paper towel. "I'll use it. Now remove your gun from my head please." I do but keep it in my hand. "What do you want." "Forgiveness. I'm the man who threw the bomb into your house." I clenched my fists and looked up at him. "Why the hell would I forgive you!" "Because that incident lead to you meeting him." I guess that's true, I would've never met John if my parents didn't die." "Alright, you're forgiven. Now what the hell do you want." "Your death." I pull my gun to his head and fire. I kick his dead body. "Psycho." I walk over to John and shake him. "Hi." He says. I smile and give him a hug. He stands up and sees what's his names body. "What the hell?" "He tried to kill me." "I see." I grab his hand and we start walking again. I hear little feet running up. It was a little girl. "What did you do to my daddy!" Oh god no. "You killed him! Your a murderer!" "No I- he tried to-." "I know he's got issues but you didn't have to kill him." Her mom came over and took her away. "What did I just do." I looked at the man I killed and we kept walking. We snuck up on some covenant and saw it was the whole fleet. Play the song "Maybe we should give up." I hear Daryl say. I turn around and give him a look. "We've come too far to give up who we are. So let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars." I quoted a halestorm song. The orange haze goes over my eyes and I look at John. He nods. "Let's kick some alien ass." I see Fred and Johnson shooting at them. I run in behind them and start shooting. They start to run back to their ship. I run up under the ship and shoot the power. It comes crashing down and it bursts into flames. I look over my shoulder and I see the little girl with her mom. I turn around and see John. I walk over to him. "How was that?" I ask. He laughs. "That was pretty cool looking." I lift my helmet and give him a kiss. I pull it down then he lifted up his and gave me a kiss. I start to walk back to base with John.
