Um... the funeral was meant to be in chapter 5, but I hadn't uploaded in ages, so I finished it off shorter so I could post it :-/ xoxo ~ AgentChipmunk

back to... Reneé's POV :)
I was sitting on my bed staring out my window when I felt a slight movement of air from the door. I looked over there and saw Ruby at the door. She was wearing a minty-green dress that perfectly complemented her skin tone. She waved. I waved back I got up off my bed and asked her (in sign language) what she wanted to do first.
'Have you had a shower?' she asked.
I nodded, looking down at my trackies and jumper that vaugely resembled pjs.
'Had breakfast? Brushed your teeth?'
I rolled my eyes 'Yes, Mum. I'm not a 2 year old.' Sarcasm isn't easily portrayed in sign language, but I think she got the gist of it.
She gave me a look, then moved her hands, but thought better of it and walked towards my cupboard. It was quite amusing watching her look for something for me to wear. She would flick clothes across the rack, stare at an item, shake her head, take an item off and place it somewhere else along the rack next to what I asumed were the 'hopefuls'.
After awhile, she stopped moving clothes and looked at the 'hopefuls'. She stared at them for a while then looked at me. She motioned for me to stand up, so I did. She looked back at my clothes grabbed a sky blue maxi dress, looked at it, then put it back where it was originally. She then took down a patterned reddish Hi-Lo dress (you know, the ones that are shorter at the front than the back) and held it up to me. Ruby being Ruby, she put it back and grabbed a shorter dress of similar colour and held it up to me. She then grabbed both dresses and alternated in holding them up. She then put the shorter dress back on the rack and looked at the Hi-Lo dress. It was a strapless dress, but it came with straps. She attatched the straps, then gave the dress to me, hinting that I should put it on, and left the room.
After I put it on, I went out and Ruby gave me a thumbs up. It's just easier using universal signs than spelling out things one letter at a time, so often we don't use sign language.
Ruby ushered me into the bathroom and started messing around with my short hair and fuffing it up. She grabbed some of the hair towards my face and pulled it back, bobby-pinning it on the side of my head. My hair is so short, there isn't much you can do with it. Ruby then grabbed some mascara, eyeshadow and lipgloss. She knows I can do my own makeup, but she prefers to do it herself. She gave me the 'natural' brown look for eye makeup, and thankfully gave me the lip gloss to apply myself.
We headed downstairs, where my mum was waiting for us. I couldn't wait for the day to be over.

We arrived at the cemetery, where CiCi's funeral would take place, flowers in hand. We saw CiCi's parents and walked over to them. Our parents talked about something that I didn't bother lip reading. After a few minutes we entered the room where the funeral would take place.
I don't see the point in coming to this funeral, I mean it's not like I can hear anything. Lots of people went up to the podium speaking, while I just sat there, silent tears streaming down my face. At one point, Ruby nudged me to get up, and we walked towards the coffin, placing flowers on it, as did others.
Finally it was over, and we went to CiCi's parents house where the reception was. I wandered my way into their lounge room, curled up in a ball and cried.

Sorry if the funeral was really short, and there was more prep than funeral :-/
Reneé's dress is on the side. If you are on an iPod, tap on the screen, then tap the little "i" in the circle, then there should be 4 'tabs'. Tap the last one and there should be images there.
