Chapter 6:
Renesmee’s P.O.V
I woke up groggy from the sleep. I had been placed onto Esme’s favourite white sofa with a blanket wrapped around me with new clothes.
Someone must have changed me whilst I was sleeping. I rubbed my eyes and sat up from my dads legs. He looked down at me with them honey brown eyes and half smile.
Everyone was sat around the room casually. Jasper and Alice cuddled up on the chair together. Emmett and Rose talking in the kitchen mum and dad sat on the same sofa I was sleeping on. Esme and Carlisle standing near the door while Jacob sat down on the floor looking over at me with an expectant look.
The boy was no where to be seen.
‘What happened?’ I asked still dazed.
‘You fell asleep on the way to the house. So we changed you. Zake is upstairs in the shower; Alice brought him a spare change of clothes.’ Jacob explained casually
‘Zake? Who’s- Oh! The boy...’ I sat up completely this time and heard the shower from upstairs.
‘Yeah. He’s going to be staying with us for a while. ‘Bout time there’s someone in this house that knows how to fight!’ Emmett cheered from the kitchen punching his fist in the air.
‘What?’ I asked even more confused than before’
‘Well,’ Carlisle explained, ‘the man who saved you is called Zake. He was chasing the rouge new bourns because they were out of control. Then he saw you and knew they would be following your scent so he tried to tell you to run but they already started attacking. He killed one of them and while you were fighting but came to save you when he saw you were in danger. He lost his parents in a crash and he got pulled out the wreckage by the vampire who changed him. They sensed a special ability within him so they decided to change not kill him he escaped from them and has been roaming around since then. And because he has no place to live we’ve decided he can stay here for a while.’
The door opened then and the boy- I mean Zake peered through with a sheepish smile.
‘I’m finished in the shower’ He whispered.
He came inside then and looked at me. He was wearing dark blue denim jeans, a plain white top and a green and black chequered jacket.
His hair was almost the same shade as my dad’s tousled bronze. I never noticed the colour of his hair because the water made it constantly dark.
Rose and Emmett then walked out the room inconspicuously- which wasn’t very conspicuous when you’re in a house full of Vampires and Werewolves.
Edward and Bella then left. With the excuse ‘We need to hunt’ - this wasn’t a complete lie. Dad’s eyes started developing bags and his eyes were pretty black. And my mum and dad never left each others sides.
One excuse lead to another and the end result was me, Zake, Jacob and Carlisle.
Zake looked at me concerned ‘Are you alright now?’ He asked
‘I’m fine thank you’ I replied. Jacob then came up to me, sat down and wrapped his arm around my shoulders in a crushing embrace.
Zake looked away awkwardly until Jacob released some of his grip.
I could feel a slight testosterone fight raging between us so I decided to make a swift exit.
I didn’t look back at the room, I just continued to my room.
