"What do you mean by goes blank?" I asked a hint of hysteria creeping up in my voice.

I looked at dad who seemed to be concentrating on me again, his brows merging in frustration.

"You memories have somehow being blocked from me. I can't see anything while that thing happened. What was it anyway?" He asked torn between the two ideas.

"I-I don't know, I heard something whilst I was hunting and the next thing you know there was this thing around me. It didn't hurt me so it can't be that bad right" I was such a bad liar not even I believed that one.

I watched him pace around in little circles trying to think about the situation. I watched the concern fluster across his face and the helplessness in his eyes. I looked over at my mum who wore the same expression. Then i looked at Alice I think she was trying to figure out what had happened using her vision, but to no avail.

Hours must have passed and we wern't any closer to the answer than we was at the start, Jasper and Carlisle were sent to inspect the area but the only thing that was there was the animal i didn't finish drinking.

I could really do with some blood actually. But no way was they going to let me back out now. Not for a while anyway. So instead I just ambled to the fridge, I opened it carefully preparing my self for the content that was hidden away.

The light flicked revealing the overstuffed shelves of food I didn't even know existed. Where do they get their food from?

I tried to rummage around inspecting my options, but the fridge was too full so i settled for some leftover vegetable soup Esme had kindly made the night before. I poured the mixture into a pan and began to put it on a low boil.

I heard Zake come in then so i turned around to see him looking at the pan of soup with a peculiar look on his face.

I looked back and forth to him and the pan like some animated cartoon. "Do you want to taste some?" I offered, i knew he couldn't eat some without finding some way to bring it back up. His stomach was only adapted for using blood now. But he could at least try some if he wanted...

He looked at me shocked plastered across his face. Then his nose scrunched up in disgust. "No thank you. It doesn't look very appetising"  He said this, but his eyes told another story, they told be he was curious. Just a little taste a dare to himself to at least try.

I poured the heated content into a pad and grabbed a napkin and a spoon from the table. I sat down on the high stool near him and began eating. It didn't taste as nice as blood and it still didn't taste as nice a meat but with the limited choice I had I would happily take this with a smile.

I pooled and dipped my spoon around in the content grabbing one of everything onto my spoon and carefully offered it too Zake with a daring smile I knew he wouldn't say no too.

He eyed me suspiciously and then looked at the pool on my spoon. He leaned in reluctantly and sniffed it very carefully. I laughed at his reaction. "What? Never smelt food before?" I teased in between giggle.

He looked at me with an insulted look and then ate the entire spoon full. I gawked at him my laughing immediately suppressed as i watched him chew the food mechanically.

I looked at the scrunching of his nose and the distaste displayed in his eyes. He didn't like it.

I quickly offered him the napkin before he did anything Esme would disapprove of and I would most likely have to clean. He grabbed the napkin and spat the food out of his mouth into the once clean sheet.

I watched him fly around the room in detest at the soup, watching him throw it into a bin and watched him wash his hands muttering unintelligible things under his breath.

I tried to- unsuccessfully I might add, to suppress the laughter that was rearing up in my throat.

He glared at me as I fell into a fit of giggles. "That was the most unappetising thing to have ever slithered down my throat. Even as a human I cannot remember tasting anything as revolting as that." I watched the playful smile creep into his features as he sat back down.

"Well, I'm sure Esme will be pleased to hear that her cooking tastes so bad." I said before helping myself to another spoon-full of the thick soup.

"I don't think it tastes too bad" I said watching him cringe as I waved some near his face with a playful smile.

I leaned in more to get a better grip of the spoon until I looked into his eyes.

They looked gently at my lips and I saw some of the curiosity and love reflect into his eyes. He pulled closer to me until our lips merged.

I felt his soft lips crush against mine as he reached for me hair, fixing his finger entwined within my curls. The other hand moved to my face and cradled it gently, the smooth tingling electricity of his skin was all i could feel.

I could taste the sweet cold aroma of him. That natural perfume all vampires seem to have. But his was unlike any other I had smelt before. It was intoxicating. Mesmerising and hypnotic! All magically blended with the taste of him.

His tongue playfully tickled my lower lip momentarily but gently biting before he pulled away with a devilish yet sheepish smile that matched the essence of his eyes. All i could do was smile back at the magic that had just happened.

In the background I could hear teeth grinding, but i didn't care. I could hear their feet trailing away from me physically and mentally. Until I heard the door slam.
