As a white straight cis female, I am not that informed about the LGBTQ community. For as long as I remember I've supported it. I wasn't raised to hate anything I couldn't understand, and although I've heard gay slurs, I've never heard them in the irrationally hateful way you hear about. Mostly just middle school boys picking fun without understanding how offensive they're being. Anyway, despite all this, I've been reading a lot of books about people who are part of the LGBTQ community. That's what lead me to this quote. I like that it's not unnecessarily worded. It's easy to understand, and gets the point across, while also being well said.
