Surprise is an understatement to what I'm feeling right now.

I was beyond surprised at the moment.

I was flabbergasted, bewildered, shocked, confused and all of those in one.

It was nuts.

Seeing your ex-bestfriend enter the walls of the cafeteria wasn't something you see everyday.

Oh- I almost forgot, it was. When it came to my ex-bestfriend and ex-part of the clique, Celeste.

Celeste Greene was the typical blonde, mean, barbie look-alike most people would think was the queen bee of the school. She's a bitch, along with her clique of bitches. She was the leader of the bitches of this school. Well, she wasn't that bitchy when we were friends, but now she was the highest contender for who's the best bitch in school. I know, right? how cliché could this get?

Celeste and I went way back before I met Kylie and Violet. We were so close, we were almost inseperable. Almost.

That is until she turned all cuckoo-ka-choo on me and spreaded a rumor that I did a threesome with Nate and Theo, well let's just say that was the end of it.

I know why she did it, though. She asked me to help her with Theo but Theo just didn't like her back. He sensed a bad vibe from her and I didn't believe him then. Well, I learnt my lesson. After that, I told her that it was hopeless, but then she mistaken it as me being selfish with the boys. That I wanted all the boys to myself. So that was it, friendship destroyed just like that.

Funny how something you've built for years can be taken down at any given moment with just one snap of a finger.

From then on, we never talked nor look at each others way without a glare. It hurt me at first, but then I met Kylie and Violet so I got over it eventually. I was ready to forgive her whenever she was ready to say sorry. But she never did. I forgave her anyway and moved on.

Now, forget about Celeste. Let's get back to Cole.

Cole, in all his glory, walked towards a vacant table and just sat there. He was talking with his friends and now, he was laughing at what his friend just said.

He stopped all of a sudden as if he sensed someone was looking at him and without a beat, he looked towards our direction. I was frozen by his gaze and he just sat there, looking at us.. at me.

We stared at each other for a moment and I waited for him to smile or to wave, even. But much to my dismay, he didn't. He broke eye-contact and looked back at his friend and I just sat there, dumbfounded. Has he forgotten me? Us? If he did, then he wouldn't have stared that long, wouldn't he? But why was he back? Where has he been all this time?

So many questions, zero answers.

"Pie." Nate called and I snapped out of my trance. How long was I out?

"Yeah?" I shifted uncomfortably on my seat, trying to forget about the staring thing that happened awhile ago.

"What's your next class?" He asked, munching on his sandwich.

"Um, uh.. Calculus." I replied.

"Bummer, I have Physics. Well, I better go." He stood up and grabbed his bag. "See ya later, gators." And he went on his way.
