Carter
All I was doing was throwing up. I didn't know why.
I had only had a bottle of beer last night so I knew I wasn't still drunk or hungover. I hadn't eaten anything that could have given me food poisoning.
I was empty. So why was I throwing up every hour?
"Maybe you had some weird sauce on your pasta last night?" Wren says looking up from her computer screen. We'd been trying to figure out why I was sick for the whole day. We hadn't left the hotel with the other girls to go do tourist things around London the whole day. In a way I was relieved that I didn't have to spend my day stuck with Grace, Ciara and Lucy but I missed Vijera. I also felt so bad for making Wren stay back in our room with me, however, she had offered to stay but I still felt bad.
"No I don't think it was that. It was only tomato sauce." I say, looking up from the book I'd been reading. Wren sighs and looks back down at her screen, typing something out.
"You know you can throw up from emotions." Wren points out. She must have been researching why I couldn't stop vomiting
"What emotions?" I say in a fake nonchalant tone.
"Hmm. How about the emotions that come from Luke lying to you and having a girlfriend?"
"Nope. I feel nothing." Wren and I looked at each other after a moment of silence and then we both started laughing.
"Oh my gosh, Wren, I'm going crazy."
"I know," Wren chuckles, "you've been tapping incessantly on your book cover for the entire day."
"I'm sorry for keeping you here with me. But I'm really happy that you're here."
"No problem, Tompkins." Wren get's up from her bed and comes over to mine to give me a hug. "Now tell me how you're feeling. Besides tossing cookies, spare me." I giggled.
"I'm feeling like the biggest bitch in all of London. Why didn't I just stay another two seconds and maybe heard what he was going to sAY. Maybe there's an explanation to all of this." I sigh and collapse back onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Carter," Wren says. "Luke loves you and he's upset that you didn't even give him a chance to explain. But from what I can tell, he's not going to give up on you just yet, alright?"
"Alright."
"Just don't lose hope." Wren smiled down at me before getting off my bed and going back to hers. The movement of the bed caused a lurching in my stomach.
"Wrennie."
"Oh jesus christ not again."

Luke
"Can a least somebody go check if she's here?" I asked Ashton, pacing backstage before the show.
"Luke, mate, John said that the girls from her school got here already. Carter wasn't with 'em." Ashton answered me after taking a long sip of tea. I stopped pacing and slowly lowered myself to the dressing room floor.
"Where's Michael?" I groaned, lying myself face down on the floor. I heard Ashton sigh, clearly annoyed, then get up and leave. He came back a minute later and Michael was suddenly crouching next to me.
"Hey buddy."
"Hi." I said flatly.
"You have to get up the floor now, Luke."
I grunted in response, "The floor is my friend."
"I know and so am I. Please get off the floor so we can play a show and be a band."
"Well look what being and a band did to the one person who I could count on for anything: Carter. She's not even here. She'll never understand how much I love her."
"That's not true, Luke." Calum said, appearing in the doorway. "That isn't true at all. Just because you had one failed attempt at proving how much you love her doesn't mean it's all over. Try, fail, try again."
"And I thought you'd never been in love." I scoffed, rolling my eyes but smiling anyways. Michael offered me his hand,
"Cal's right, Luke. Okay, this time it didn't go as planned but if you love Carter more than anything, you have to try again. Now please get off the floor, we have a show to play."
