"Rex please!" You begged.

"Commander," Rex sighed, running a hand across his visor, in a face palm fashion.

"Please, just kill it," You practically screamed, pulling your knees to your chest and burying your head.

Rex rolled his head as he went into the corner of your room and stomped an a spider with a definitive crunch.

"Is it dead?" You asked tears eyed, not daring to look up from your cocoon.

"Yes, Commander," Rex said wearily.

You let your shoulders drop in relief. "Good,"

"You can't call me over every time you need a spider killed, Commander." Rex said crossing his arms.

"Hey!" You snapped looking up at the Captain, with tear stains on your face. "When you get arachnophobia, then you can complain."

You didn't have to see his face to know he was rolling his eyes. But what surprised you, was the fact that he sat down next to you on your cot.

"Why are you so afraid of spiders?" He asked.

You hesitated when he laid a hand on your back. "When I was a kid, I had a fear of spiders. And I still do." You gulped as you looked up slightly at his T-Shaped Visor before looking back at your knees. "I was told they felt no emotion, that their hearts never beat... I-it scared me," You shuddered.

"Well," Rex said in thought. "Th-"

"And one killed my Dad," you added quickly, and basically became an ostrich in your own legs.

Rex hesitated, taking a hand off of your back slightly before resting it between your shoulder blades. He rolled his hand between them as he tried to think of something to say.

This was a topic he could not relate with you. Rex being a clone, never biological had a father and never actually met his donor. He couldn't image what you would be feeling ever time you saw that eight legged creature.

"I'm sorry," He managed to say and turned his head away from you.

You slowly leaned up against his body armor and the two of you stayed like that for awhile. Not saying anything. Just enjoying each other presence.

"Do you mind if I ask how?" Rex finally spoke up, looking down on you.

"Imagine one the size of a gunship," you said quietly.

Rex flinched. "They can get that big?" He said in astonishment.

You laughed dryly and nodded against his side slowly, wiping away so stray tears.

"Well then, I'll kill them all for you."

You sat up, shocked by what he had just said and looked up at him cautiously. "You mean it?"

"Y-yes," Rex mumbled.

Quickly hugging him, you wrapped you arms around his torso so he couldn't leave you. "Thank you," You said into his armor.

"Don't worry about it," Rex said unsure if he should huge you back.

"You can be my spider slayer." You said holding onto him tighter.

Rex carefully laid his hands on your back, making a weak hug. "Yeah," He whispered. "That would be something."
