Katherine's pov.
I looked at the date scowling on the newspaper while sipping at my coffee, two weeks fled away too quickly also painfully slow to my disguise. It's been two weeks, well to be exact two weeks and three days since I walked out on the love of my life, he never called after our last conversation, he is still in Paris, the newspaper is covered with his handsome face and news about the movie which is coming out today. I've been avoiding this date, but can't really get this out of my head. Daniel was very happy regarding this film, he worked really hard and this is the biggest budget movie he has ever done. The only thing I want to do is run to the nearest theatre and watch his movie, but why should I? Aren't I suppose to be mad at him? I can't be mad at him after looking at him, his dark brown eyes, overly hot radiant body, confident smirk he wears, drool worthy hair, silky soft lips.
Argh!! I pulled my hair in order to collect my thoughts, before I jump off the chair and call him.My phone started ringing loudly. my breath hitched in my throat. Could it be him calling? I smiled to myself and made a run towards my cellphone sitting on the dresser.
A pain shot towards my heart which is often happing to me, every now and then, disappointment draws over me seeing the caller I.d.
"Hey hulk, what's up?" I asked Travis after pressing the green button. Travis started to ease with me, he's more friendly than he was at my first day. We often talk about different topics, trying to figure out why the world is so weird. It had become a habit to call him hulk, due to his rock hard personality and constantly flipping moods. He is so much like the real hulk.
"You've to come in the morning shift today. Alex has something to do, so he switched your shift with his." He explained me, Alex was a nice guy, the one at the counter on my first day. He gave me this job, his father owned the restaurant and he was also working here along with his college studies. If it could have been any other day, I would have been grumpy and harsh on them for making me work in the morning shift. They actually purposely let Travis called so that he would have to listen to my ramble. Today however it's different....this distraction was needed.
"Great, I'll be there in five." I chirped and hung up the call.

I entered the Cafe smiling, making my way towards the counter when an impossibly loud squeal ranged through my ears, making me cover my ears with my hands.
"Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!" I don't know how many oh my God's were said before the blonde continued squealing.
"I'm sorry for the interruption, but we have customers here. Can you keep it down?" I hissed at her with a fake smile plastered on my face.
"Oh....sure..I'm sorry about that." Her face was low this time, matching her voice as she said....slightly embarrassed.
"It's okay, can I help you with something?" I asked her grabbing the notepad and a pen from the counter.
"Uh...yeah, one cappuccino and a piece of your best cheesecake." She complete giving her order while I wrote it down, moving towards the counter to get her order, I gave the order to Mrs. Rose. She's in her fifties but she likes working here, she lives alone and she's the only one who is always happy to be in the morning shifts.
"Dear, thank god you came, I was starting to think how to handle the customers here without making a fuss." She heaved a sigh of relief and went in the kitchen.
This Cafe is popular in this area, it's always full and people love it here.....it has this homely feeling that cannot be described. I worked for hours hoping for Alex to show up, so that I can take a break.
