1.7 ; Will you?

You say your final goodbyes to Dan. He stands up, tucks in his chair, and then helps you up from your chair. You don't need any help, but it'd be nice.
"Before you go," he starts, "Would- will, uh? Will- um. Would you - um - like to... go on another date?"
"Sure, I'm free all this week. I don't work until next week," you say with no trouble.
"Ok, what about Sanaa*?" he asks. Sanaa is a fancy-ish restaurant, and it's for couples only. You already know this.
"You know that's a couples only restaurant type thing, right?" you raise an eyebrow. Not that you don't want to be his girlfriend- it's just he hasn't asked.
"Well, the thing about that is. Will you- be my girlfriend?" He says, looking at his feet, and wringing his hands.
"Sure," you say, and hug him. Wow, you're living every girls dream. Well not all, but most of them. He's a good hugger, but you've heard that Phil is way better.
"Well," he pulls away, "I've got to be going, so this is goodbye- again?"
"Yea," you start, "Bye Dan, unless you're going back to the apartment?" You follow Dan out the door.
"I'm not," he says, and takes a right, and you take a left. You grab your phone and put it in your pocket, along with your keys.
-time skip to when your back home-
You get home, and change out of your outfit into a footy pajama set. You don't feel like going out any more. You call in pizza for dinner later.
When the pizza arrives, you set it in the microwave. You don't have any money, cause you haven't cashed in your USD for Pounds. You decide to, right now.
You get your keys, and all you USD. You have $400, and that will get you back 300 pounds, which is enough to get you around until you get your job. The bank takes part of your money, so technically you have 309.36 pounds.
You walk out your door, and head down the stairs. You hear people talking again, and you can't quite make it out, but you decide, this time, you'll mind your own business. Your purse has a lot of money, so you have to keep a low profile. You didn't even look on your map on your phone, you're just walking. You saw a bank the other day. You don't have a car, because your car is back at home. Cars here would take you years to save up for.
When you arrive, you take a deep breath. One big step to you big transition. You're going to have British money, a British home, and in a few years, a British accent. Oh, and don't forget the British boyfriend. Hah, that's a good name. British boyfriend. Even just boyfriend sounds good.
You go to the desk, and you see a girl named Lindsay, or so says her tag.
"Hello! Welcome to Boma Bank**, how may I help you?" Lindsay says. It starts to rain, ugh.
"I need to turn my USD to pounds," you say, as patient as possible.
"How much money are you transferring?" Lindsay asks.
"400 dollars," you tell her, eagerly.
"You will get back," she punches numbers into her computer," 300 pounds, the real equivalent is closer to 310 pounds, but the bank gets part of the money."
"Okay, here," you hand her 400 dollars. No turning back now. Everything's set. If you want to go home now, you'll have no money. Too bad, and too good.
"Do you have an account with us?" Lindsay asks.
"No, but I would like to set one up," you explain, "I just moved here."
"Okay, enter a pin, and it will become your credit cards pin," she says.
"Thank you!" you say, after she hands you a credit card. You're really excited, you have a British credit card too.
"You're welcome, have a nice day!" she exclaims. You smile at her, and slip your credit card  into your purse.

hey, this was almost 700 words, so I hope you enjoyed it. the end, wasn't a filler.. unless that's what you want to believe. you're transitioning to be British I guess, and that's important. you can't fly out to America; so if there's an emergency, you can't attend to it. and sQUEEK you have a boyfriend now. congrats.
