Chapter 12 ~ Gone in a Blink of a Eye

~ Chapter 12 ~

I slammed my tray down on the school table.

Nick and April looked up at me.

"Well, someone is in a good mood." Joked Nick.

"Yeah, I'm soo happy to relize I left my iphone at my apartments. Which is probably crawling with Kraang!" I said and plopped down glumly.

Nick put her hand on my shoulder. "Hey, bro. We can easily get it back with your Kunoich and ninja B.F.F.'s!"

I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Really?! Where are they?! I would love to meet them!" I said.

Nick softly slugged my shoulder playfully.

"Right here, dope. And I will be happy to skip school to go get it for you!" She said.

April set down her fork. "Oh, no you don't! I see what your plan is Nick! You'll get caught when you come in and get suspened from going to the dance! You can't pull that on me!" Snapped April.

Nick glared at April. "Noooo! I was going to be a good and awesome friend and bust some 'bots! But now you mentioned that plan..."

April shut her eyes and covered her ears. "Ohhh! Forget it Nick!" She said.

Nick surpressed a smile.

I needed my phone though. It even had my proof of aliens. I was probably going to give that up since I knew too much I needed to. But I could make new memories. Pictures of my new friends, new mutant friends, pictures of my first school dance! All the good stuff!

Nick waved her hand in front of my face.

"Helloooooo. Earth to Bekka! Did you even hear what April asked?" Said Nick.

I blushed. "Could you possibly repeat the question?" I said sheepishly.

Nick smirked and turned to April. "Told you she wasn't listening."

April rolled her eyes and looked at me. "I asked if you had your mind on a cutie for the dance."

Nick sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "And I asked if we should really discuss this at the lunch table. You should ask that stuff around me when I have a empty stomach." She said.

April fixed her blue eyes back on me. "Soooo, do you?"

I blushed. "No way. I'm new here and only know one boy." I said.

"Which is a complete dork." Muttered Nick.

April looked around. "Hey, where is Casey?"

"Skipping again. He asked me earlier but April would've made me do her homework so I said no." Said Nick glumly.

"Oh, so its a good thing he's not here to hear what were saying about him?" I asked.

Nick nodded her head. "Yeah but I don't care if he's here or not because I'll talk slap about him either way!"

I rolled my eyes. "That sums up how much you like him." I said.

She grinned evily. "Yes, yes it does!"

I scooted away from her a little. Her evil grin looks like a true evil grin!

We talked for a few more minutes until the bell rang. We ran off to our next hour class. Thank goddness it wasn't Chemistry. I do not what to go through that again!
