~ Chapter 5 ~
I glared at the container. Now my mom thinks I'm Eienstein. I told her about Charlie and what it did but now she thinks I can reverse it. Boy she is wrong!
I wanted to asked for advice from Nick or April but I just met them. I don't want to spill out everything.
Nick. Raph. Those names. The same names at TCRI. Could that be a contection? I mean, how many girls named Nick know a guy named Raph? She probably knew something about those aliens. But what about the slim shadow flying? Or the oval shaped things on the four guys? Was I seriously that dalisional?!
"Bekka, its almost time for school!" I heard my moms muffled voice call out to me.
Oh, well. I grabbed my bag and headed out of the Apartments.
As I walked down the street I could have swore I saw a white van driving slowly by me. Weird, right?
When I got to school, I saw April and Nick walking down the hall. Did Nick always wear her bandana?
I ran up to them.
"Hey." I said.
"Hi." They both said in usion.
Nick cleared her throat. "So, Bekka. Where were you Sunday night?" She asked.
April elbowed her. Nick glared back.
"Oh, I was just walking around New York, getting use to the surroundings." I said.
Nick raised her eyebrow. "Really. Did you happen to pass a building known as TCRI?"
"Nick!!" Glared April.
I laughed a little. "Yeah, I did. Oh! You guys will never guess what I found on the side of the road!" I said. I was ready to tell them.
"What?!" They both asked together.
"I found this weird canister that glowed. Cool, huh?"
Nick turned white. The wind picked up inside the school.
"What did you do with the canister?" She asked.
I shrugged. "Brought it home. Why?" I asked. Maybe if she did know something, she would let it slip.
"Nothing, just don't open it, taste it or let any animals have it." She said. Her voice sounded strangley like mine.
"Um, Nick. I think we need to go to the bathroom for a sec. See ya in English, Bekka." April grabbed Nick's wrist and dragged her to the bathroom.
'Whats with them?' I wondered. Hmm. I was going to regret this but oh well.
I ran towards the bathroom and put my ear to it.
"-gotta contol it, Nick! What is Bekka noticed them?!" Asked April.
"I don't know! Maybe I could use a brainwashing power...no, never mind. That won't work."
"Well, I secretly believe she didn't 'find' the mutagin. I think she went to TCRI and stole it."
"Hey, April. You do relize that the guys did release a bunch of mutagin canisters into the city."
"Oh, ya. Well, I'm still going with my theory!"
"We shouldn't keep Bekka waiting in class. Casey might start creeping her out."
"Ya, lets go." I heard the shuffling towards the door.
I bolted to English and jumped to my seat.
