Chapter 16 ~ Tricks Before the Treats

~ Chapter 16 ~

Bekka came up to me and started to poke me repeatedly.

I looked up at her. "May I help you?" I asked boredly.

"Hmm,mm. Yes, yes you can."

"And with what may I have the pleasure to help ya with?"

"With helping me help Mikey with his Halloween costume."

I groaned. "He can go as a mutant turtle this year."

She smiled and rolled her eyes. "He could but he wants to be a superhero he calls the Turtle Titan."

"I'm guessing he wants a cape?"

She nodded her head. "Yep and a turtle shaped sheild, a black mask with a orange 'T" on it and black rubber boots."

I sighed. "Fine but he better wear it next year, too!"

Bekka grabbed my wrist. "Okay, he is really anxious for you to make it." She said as we walked down the stairs.

"Why does everybody have to grab my wrist? I have two working legs!" I said as we came to the living room.

"Because, Peachie," Said Mikey. "You will run away before we can even notice!"

I slugged his shoulder. "Don't call me Peachie unless you want your Turtle Titan costume in shreds." I snapped.

Mikey backed away. "Feisty!"

I rolled my eyes and began to create his costume.

"Don't forget the mask." Whispered Mikey.

My vision blurred but I still concentrated.

"Oh! OR the rubber boots, and they have to be black." He whispered again.

I glared at him a little.

"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ooooooooooohhhhh!!!! And don't forget the cape! It has to be long, and black, and-"

I stood up. "Mikey! Shut up!"

He giggled a little and ran off.

I looked at Bekka. She shrugged. "Don't look at me! He's Mikey! Mikey's do weird things!"

I smiled and rolled my eyes. Soon I had Mikey's perfect costume. It was awesome if I do say so myself.

April rushed into the Lair.

"Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick, NNNNIIIIIIICCCCKKKK!!!!" She said jumping up and down.

Bekka and I both raised our eyebrow's.

"Did you have extra caffeine in your coffee today, April?" Asked Bekka.

April rolled her eyes. "NO! I just got you and Nick's Halloween costumes!"

Bekka grinned. "Awesome!"

I was confused. "Hold the phone," I said making a "time out" gesture. "What do you mean by Nick's costume?" I asked.

April giggled a little. "Weeeeell, Bekka told me how you didn't have a Halloween costume, sooooo I bought you one!"

I backed away. "Oh, no you don't! I am not putting on a costume! I'm going as a teenage girl ninja!" I said firmly.

April's eyes narrowed. "You're putting on this costume. I'm wearing one too!"

We stared at each for a few minutes. I lost because I totally SUCK at staring contests. Maybe its because my dad's ruined eyes...that would be my luck!
